So that £26m was their own personal money or money raised through bank loans which I presume it would be - nobody is going to sink their own money into a football club.

There is a cost to borrowing £26m which will have to be repaid out of club income. Again, presume any borrowings will have a timescale payment period.

Wrong again it was there own personal money......You cannot get a bank loan to purchase a club in administration.
You need proof of funds and enough money to run a club for 2 years

Sounds like we're the only club currently in the running for Whiteman with QPR unlikely to make a follow up offer as he wants to stay close to home. Classic PNE, fucking around over the sake of £500k or so, we messed around with Ryan Ledson for ages too.

The owners are charging Bolton 4%pa on the £40m they've lent them.

Dion Donahue left Swindon Town by mutual consent hoping for a contract at Bolton but i dont think we was interested.
Is the keeper Kovar who you had on loan from Manchester United any good.......Think he is one of the keepers we are looking at
I think Kovar is in Man U’s starting XI tomorrow. That’ll mean no loan for him.

Think yourself lucky

Due for repayment next year, which I'm assuming isn't a fixed date and there's some room for manoeuvre!

As we have not spent a penny please tell me what the 4% interest is for......
As you say with your B tech in finance
owner lends club 40 m
club owes owner 43.6m after three years
club defaults
owner puts club into Administration
Administrator offers 25p in the pound
owner accepts and walks away with 10.9m for there 40m investment
now can you see your talking bollocks

Whether your owners put their own money in - highly doubtful - or it was raised on personal assets and guarantees from the bank, it will attract a certain rate of interest. Unless your owners gifted a whole chunk of money with no expectation of repayment.

At the end of the day they thought 26m was a good investment. They will either make a profit or get there fingers burnt.
Charge what they want in interest......Whats the worst thing that could happen??

You really are a weapon! Even if you had £40m you couldn’t spend it.

Doubt you’ve got £40.

Kieron lee... Central Midfielder The best signing of the window by any team in this league

He’s well and truly fucked, though. Dreadful run of injuries.

‘If it is the end of the road for Lee at Hillsborough, then it is a sad and tired end to what has been one of the greatest Wednesday careers of the past two decades.

Lee will leave Wednesday as a true fan favourite, a lung-bursting central midfielder who was the heartbeat of the team’s best period since the 1990s.’

you are a true weapon......A know it all that knows fuck all
You came on here all August and September giving me all this bollox that we had over spent and Doyle was not worth his contract.
I told you in August that we had not hit the 1.5m cap....Yes i accept that Doyle and Sarcevic are on good contracts and signing them before the cap came in has helped.
Yet since September we have signed Kioso [loan] Luton John [loan] Swansea and today Kieran Lee Sheff Wed.
We sent out Faal Barnet, Gordon Dagenham and Taft Scunthorpe all on loan
Its not to hard to see which three are on the bigger Salaries.

So i guess i was right all the time

Why are you banging on about your underperforming players when my comment ‘You go bust’ was in answer to your ridiculous question about what’s the worst that can happen even if your owners charge an exorbitant interest rate on the amount they either put in themselves or borrowed from the bank.

And if you think signing a crocked 32 year old is a fantastic signing you’re in for yet another disappointment in a season of disappointing signings.

Calm it down just a touch

Before these owners came in last August we was bust, but unlike Bury,Macc we had assets which attracted investors.
Say these owners charge exorbitant interest rates [everything points that they wont]
And we go bust again they will lose a hell of a lot more than they gain.
The pandemic will have cost them especially the hotel, but these owners are savvy they know the good times will return and its a case of putting those building bricks in now.
The is only one way Bolton are going and yes the will be some shit times, but we are on the up
PS.....Kieran lee is better than anything you have got

I thought I'd come on this page to see transfers in League One. Why is there a Bolton fan here trying to get a rise out of everyone?

Whether you've spent money or not has no bearing on whether interest is applicable on the loan or why it's charged.

4% is actually a very good rate, some of the rates around football are ridiculous (only today it's been said that the Company who have lent Derby money are borrowing the money themselves at 9% pa).
