Things going slowly at Pompey as usual. Two more are apparently out the door this week. Wouldn't be surprised if one was Paul Downing to Donny. Not sure about the other one - Jacobs maybe? Harness possibly? We're told that Marquis is unlikely to leave due to his current salary but you never know. Mansfield showing strong interest.

Still waiting on players in. Apparently chasing Villa's Cameron Archer on loan but Sunderland also in the hunt so unlikely. Will Boyle rumours haven't gone away so could happen once the outgoings are sorted.

That's a great signing in my opinion. If stays fit (like he has the last few months) then he could make a real difference. Personally, I'm sorry to see him go but his head has definitely been elsewhere since the summer.

Various places are reporting we've won the race for Swansea striker Liam Cullen - loan until the end of the season.

Portsmouth and MK were two who were rumoured to be looking at him I think.

I think with us it was more rumoured as part of a transfer deal. I don't think we really need him with Parrot, Eisa, Twine and now Corbeaneau and his stats are pretty lacklustre. Of course another striker is never too many.

We have already turned down several bids for him from a few clubs. I know Charlton have bid a few times amongst others.
If he becomes a free agent in the summer I can see quite a few clubs offering him terms.

Not a player i was aware of until earlier in the season. Going off comments here seems whoever gets him are getting a top player at this level. I think Evatt has it in his head that we can repeat last years run.

Not convinced myself but he is again putting building blocks in for a good go next season

Theres no doubt he will have suitors in the summer......Do you take money now or lose him in 5 months

Previously at Burton having come through their youth team. Not played much though in the last year and half that I can see.

Previously at Burton having come through their youth team. Not played much though in the last year and half that I can see.

He was on trial here for a little bit in the summer, played a few pre season games and looked ok. Not the tallest or most athletic but technically looked good. Pre season obviously so you can’t draw much from it.

I assume he's just going to be backup for Ben Williams, and with him having been training with the squad for a few weeks, won't take too long to get up to speed.

Appleton confirmed tonight that Cullen should be at training on Thursday, and I think he also said we're due another in as well. We have a virtual fans forum Thursday evening so maybe they'll do something around that.

Then he's wanting another couple in, maybe more depending on the severity of the injury to Montsma and presumably also any outgoings.

Appleton's described him as a back to goal striker, which wasn't the initial impression I had of him tbh.

Unexpectedly played for us (and scored) last night in the Pizza Cup, which was surprising. Perhaps a deal is not as close as we thought?

Also, Paul Downing loan deal is pretty much done, but apparently not going to Donny?
