Completely agree he is a good League 2 player and okay at league 1. However, he was Bolton's best player in his 20 minute swansong last Tuesday.

I liked him for us, very commanding in the area and a decent shot stopper, has an obvious weakness close down to either side of him (mainly because he’s so flipping tall). Decent enough for this level though and hope he does well for you.

Honestly; he's been fucking piss poor for Ipswich over 57 appearances.

Previous clubs seem to rate him, but we certainly didn't see it. Wish him well, just not in contention here.

Sounds similar to Jorge Grant's situation last year. He was in his final year but signed an extension with a release clause if we didn't achieve promotion, meant we got a fee for him rather than him walking away.

He has had a decent career but not had a league game since last season, and presumably no pre-season so it's asking a lot for him to be straight up to speed.
Woody has been brilliant for us and is a year older but I wouldn't fancy depending on his fitness holding out after no games for 5 or 6 months then playing against forwards who are at the top of their game.

Time will tell, good luck to the lad.

They are fair points you make, apparently he played in Jamaica’s recent games and has been training with a couple of clubs since the beginning of preseason so he might not be that far off.

We are desperate for for defenders at the moment, until we recalled young Ciaran Brennan last week, Dunkley was our only fit senior centre back.

Took him two or three months to get up to full fitness after he joined us, but was excellent once he did. Hope he does well for you.

Yeah, I don’t think there is any doubting the lads ability. He has been training for a while now and played 90 mins in a behind closed doors game last week so I’m hoping he’s not too far off. With him coming in and Josh Windass back fit it’s a big boost attacking wise.

Blackburn, who have been linked with Ronan Curtis for a while, have apparently switched their attention to Marcus Harness. He's having a good season but I reckon we'd be interested if an offer came in, purely because it might finally give the Cowleys some money to play with.

Having said that I'd be surprised if there are many transfers involving us in January. There may be some loan activity but the Cowleys won't be judged on this season and may prefer to wait until the summer when we have plenty more player contracts ending.
