Matt O’Riley supposedly off to Celtic. He’ll go with our best wishes for sure, signed on a free and sold for 7 figures (though I think Fulham take a large chunk of that) and he isn’t going to south west wales. Good all round, though we probably need to replace him quickly.

Ollie Younger from Sunderland is apparently happening, young CH not what we probably needed this season but we are obviously planning for next

Yeah he would be playing in a 3, were that desperate at the minute I’d take just about anyone that is naturally a centre half. Is he left footed? Moore is big on having a left footed centre back playing on the left hence why Marvin Johnson’s been playing there who’s never a defender as long as I’ve got a hole in my arse.
This is interesting because Richardson is exactly the same with us. It’s why Jason Kerr can’t get in the starting line-up despite being a far better player than our two left footed CBs (Watts and Tilt).

Signed, resident Sunderland fan, any good plus rumour we are trying to sign Aidan O’Brien again, hopefully the paperwork gets done this time.

Appleton likes a left footer at CB as well, albeit ours is injured at the minute, but he doesn't go as far as Cowley did, who, if memory serves me correctly, was like Richardson in playing a weaker left footed defender rather than going with a better right footer.

Hijacking a deal for a 6'5 ball playing centre back who's on a trial at Derby named Tyrese Owen who they're not allowed to finalize due to the embargo, hopefully he's a Ricardo Santos 2.0 & not a Reiss Greenidge 2.0. Could do with some more physicality in the squad.

Not a new signing, but Alfie May signing a new 2 and half year deal is just as important as any we've made this month - especially with the likes of Bolton and whatnot sniffing around.

Now if he could just work on his 1-on-1s

Weak rumours that we're interested in Sunderland's out-of-favour Denver Hume. We are in the market for a left wing back so would make sense from that perspective. However, he's still got a year and a half on his contract so that would probably mean a transfer fee. Not sure how much we can afford.

Who's fishing?

It was reported in our local press that a number of clubs, one was Bolton and another was a contract offer from America (the same club Kyle Vassell has gone to), had shown interest. We've now tied him down for another 2 and half years.

I know the reporter, he doesn't make shit up, so I'll take his word over yours.

Either way, regardless of whether there was interest or not, he's not moving anyway.
I said nothing reported up here.......never said you was right or wrong

Chill out

Yeah he’s a useless streak of piss.

Couple of Millwall supporting mates can’t believe they’ve managed to offload him.

signed on a free 18 month contract....60 odd Icelandic caps
His goal scoring record is shocking but he will play wide......and obviously a level down

Still awaiting a reply from Gillingham for our second bid believed to be 150k plus bonuses.
Gillingham have every right to say no its there right. Evatt will have a plan b to bring someone on loan then go for Dempsey in the Summer

Mendez-Laing’s contract finishes with us this week. Few clubs in for him including Wigan apparently. It would be typical of us to sign him, get him up to speed then lose him to someone else.

Probably not been helped by us not having a manager at the moment.
I expect something to happen either way when that is resolved

I think if we are openly talking about it we must have some sort of agreement with the player and he must want to come as Evatt doesn’t usually name names of other clubs’ players. If we weren’t confident about it we would have moved on already.

But I have to say I really don’t like the fact a club can tap up players through agents now from any club before a bid is accepted or have been given permission. Happens all the time I know but I think it’s just wrong if someone is under contract. We shouldn’t be naming him until it’s done. If I was Gillingham or any other club in same situation I’d be adding a few grand on to the fee as a fuck you for unsettling in public.

Why would he sign for Wigan over Wednesday ? In fact why would he sign for any other Third division club over Wednesday ?

Yeah just announced pal. Happy with that.

I’ve no idea the ins and outs of contract details etc but say if we offered him an 18 month deal and Wigan offered 2.5 year deal he would go probably go there. It’s the reason we missed out on Danny Batth supposedly.

Signing Ben House from Eastleigh today. We've been saying for a few days we're looking at a 'project' signing and this seems to be the punt they were talking about.

Know nothing about him, but, admittedly just from photo's(!), he looks like a target man type and therefore a Hopper back-up for next season (unless Marquis stays as well) then he's probably third choice.

This window is as bad as the summer for turnover. It's rediculous. Half our first team will be different by the end of the window. It's what you get for relying on loans.
