The first Alfie May rumour has surfaced - apparently Blackburn want him.

I'll believe that when I see it - no way is Alfie good enough for the Championship.
We've been linked too, fuck that

I fully expect us to sign Ethan Robson from Blackpool after his release. I'm a bit surprised they didn't take up the year option on his contract but happy they haven't for a cheaper deal.
What sort of midfielder is he? More defensive or attacking? Just wondering if he’s somebody we might be interested in.

Tom Bayliss will no doubt be free to a good home if anyone needs a midfielder, you can have Harrop too if you like collecting spineless, Nancy boy footballers.

Imagine we would be subsidising Harrop's wages until the end of his deal wherever he ends up.

Matthew Olosunde is available too, whoever he is, was supposedly ok at Rotherham.

Imagine the likes of Connor Ripley, Izzy Brown, Paul Huntington, Joe Rafferty and Scott Sinclair may rock up at this level too.

Tom Barkhuizen to Sunderland maybe.

Cameron Brannagan and Panutche Camara are both Championship quality in my opinion.

Lowe was supposedly at a Lincoln game recently, our fans think he was watching Brook Norton-Cuffey who is on loan from Arsenal.

Also whispers that Cameron Brannagan at Oxford is a target.
CamBran rumoured to have offered him a new deal. I can't say that I'm surprised, namely 12 months left on his deal and a release clause which would be a bargain for an Champ clubs around the £1 mill mark. I would love it as a supporter if he stayed, however I would guess we would have tabled more wages than ever in our history to keep him.

He's just turned 26(?). If he sticks around, he will be the most loyal person in football and in some ways it wouldn't surprise me if he signed it. That being said for the sake of his career, dare I say he's spending too long playing for us. For his own benefit he needs to leave in order to further his career unless we have a storming season.

He should be competing at Championship level and trying to be the best he can be... If he does go, he goes with the best wishes of every OUFC supporter. The guy is the heartbeat of our side.

Was a bit more box to box with us, but it would take some doing to beat us to the signature given that he was at our Player of the Year awards and the Wycombe home game in the last week and a half. I'd imagine we've been in his agents ear since February 1st and the only reason I can think of for the extension not being triggered is that he's been adamant that he wants out of Blackpool and they're happy to just recoup the wages.

Jordan Shipley signed for Salop from Cov on a 3yr deal for an undisclosed fee. Happy with that!

We are currently linked with:

Kion Etete (Spurs)
Aaron Collins (Bristol Rovers)
Josh Key & Archie Collins (Exeter)
Kyle Joseph (Swansea)

These links will no doubt fade away like ships that pass in the night.

It looks like George Hirst won't be returning as Brendan Rodgers wants to give him a chance to make the Leicester squad.

We've taken up the extra year on Marcus Harness' contract, but this is probably just to secure a transfer fee if a bigger fish comes calling.

Is the link to Key and Collins purely from Cowley mentioning them on Quest the other night?

Key is likely to move on but have a feeling that would be to the Championship. Collins is decent enough but in my opinion, needs to do a bit more to warrant a big move.

Kyle Joseph would be an excellent signing for Pompey - he's a fantastic player and I was gutted when Swansea recalled him from us last season.

Ebou Adams has signed for Cardiff. No surprise but huge loss for us.

More than likely. It's from a flimsy article in our local rag, who are no doubt just trying to fill column inches in the silly season.

Adam May signs a three year contract. Ever present, can play different roles and 6 goals from midfield last season, so vital we got him signed up.

We've taken up the option to extend Louis Thompson's contract for another season. Good business as he's excellent when he can stay fit.

We have been linked with Hartlepool's out of contract Luke Molyneaux.

Really talented player, natural left footed winger, scored a few beauties this season, we heard he was Blackpool bound but he's been linked with everyone and their mother recently.

Has he played more on the right wing cutting in this season or more of a CAM role?

Played both wings, scored a lot playing right wing, cutting in and twatting them in with his left, for me he's a winger and that's it, but a very good one at that, we used him through the middle and upfront mainly cos we had no other options there and he looked lost, finally stuck him back in as a wide man in a front three in the second half of the season and he was back to his usual self.

Shame to see him leave but we've had good run out of him.

He's better in a front 3 for me cutting in off the right. Lacks explosive place to be a proper winger but he is skillful and as Chief says when he gets in those areas to curl them in he's deadly. Hope he gets a big move, highly unlikely I'd say we can keep him.

*Barkhuizen.

Good luck to him, I think Covid combined with asthma has really fucked him. Seems there is only L1 interest. Derby and Rotherham linked too.

Sunderland linked too, depending on who you believe.

Another rebuild incoming at our place.

Makes sense, he was a key player under Neil, perfect for this kick & rush style he seems to be using at Sunderland.

Sadly it seems to be effective for em, if they don't go up mind I wouldn't expect it to work as well next season
