Amani Richards has gone back to Leicester. Unsurprising.

Duff was at our game last night, I wonder if they are going to spend even more money on someone like Aasguard.

Aasguard looked really useful against us and I think he'd fit in well with us.

Shrewsbury sign National League North joint top scorer Callum Stewart from Leamington for an undisclosed fee. Think that one comes under the category of "taking a gamble".

Ironically the other joint top scorer in the league is Charlie Caton who Cotterill released. He looked far too lightweight for league football at the time

14 in 23 isn't exactly blistering either for that level. Seems an odd one, but maybe he'll bag a hat trick tomorrow and shut me up.

Forgot to add that we have to go to Leamington for a pre season friendly as part of the deal!

Can't see him featuring tomorrow, but would love it if he did bag a hat trick. Would have to create his own chances tho. Think we've just about got enough players to fill the bench

Well we already signed an expensive Danish centre back this window…and now we’re about to sign an expensive Danish midfielder, Markus Westergaard from Viborg, for 1 million EUR - crazy money by our standards.

what's the Danish link? is that a market you've used a lot before?

No - never.

I guess it goes along with our new shiny moneyball approach where we just sign people off the basis of stats - and presumably that data is available from wherever you want - for a generous fee.

Maybe we just see players from some European territories as being better value.

But there is also the conspiracy theory that we will be looking to put Claus Norgaard, Brentford #2, in place as our new manager, and he is the one driving the transfers.

We've sent Sam Hughes to Peterborough on loan

Strange move all round, he's supposed to be a solid player at this level yet even with Horsfall out injured he's not getting used. Lord knows Posh need a defender though

Cant understand the shade being thrown at Brentford by some of your fans. Especially when you benefitted when Cardiff did the same to Cheltenham

Never understood fans getting mardy at a club recalling a player back, we had it with Danny Johnson and Walsall.

Wycombe blink first then. Huge marker put down there, promotion clearly on their minds.

Be interesting to see if we respond.

Stockport County.
Great stuff by Wycombe. Dumped by the girl next door Matthew "Matty" Bloomfield and responding by splurging on Danish sniff, Tuborgs and shagging some tidy little Danish crumpets on a bender in Copenhagen.

I think it's just that it was announced as a season long loan, don't know if that was the same with Colwill. And the fact that Brentford are on the naughty step after last Saturday

This is the problem, they rarely are season long loans because if they do well they usually get recalled in January and conversely if they flop you send them back in January.

Happened to us with Arblaster and Devine last January and heavily contributed to our downfall, hence never a great idea to have loan players as key players and more to supplement a squad.

We've had some great season long loans though- Sinisalo last season and Whitworth this. Both keepers though.

Tommi O'Reilly, season long loan from Villa, recalled and promptly sent to MK Don's. Looked good in pre season and started the season well, but then Hurst left him out at Wrexham early September and has barely featured since. Decent player but not necessarily what you need in a struggling team

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson has left us and is going to Burton Albion.

Never really got going for us. Another one signed (at least on a short term in JDBs case) to cover Injuries in the squad but not really needed any more.

Hopefully these attacking departures means someone is coming in.

We've finally announced the signing of Blackburn winger Dilan Markanday on loan, who appears to have had a good first half of the season on loan at Chesterfield.

Thats us up to 6 loans again and you can only have 5 in a matchday squad, he plays the same position as Sonny Perkins who is on loan from Leeds, Perkins has been better recently but IMO isn't really up to it long term, he just doesn't seem interested enough to me so I can see Markanday playing ahead of Perkins.

With us already having enough loans, Wellens has said he wants to sign a striker at the very least and it has to be a pernament signing. We also really need one more attacking winger to help cover our injuries there, other than that unless we get another bad injury or two that will be us done for incomings.

We've tried to sign Josh Keeley from Spurs pernamently, but they have said not in this window after his good form.

Central Midfielder Lewis Warrington is also likely to leave on loan to a League Two side - he's never got going here and Wellens hasn't used him for around 2 months now.

Remember when you used to crow about stealing players from us - Willem Tomlinson anyone?
And bid £350k for Ollie Watkins

How long ago was that nearly 10 years? The irony is literally lost, let it go Denzel!
