He was the best player on the pitch at your place against us last season until he was subbed. Was 1-1 when he was subbed around 70th minute and we won 4-1.

Has his moments but ultimately is an extremely frustrating player, doesn’t assist enough, doesn’t score enough, tries to beat the same man ten times and he’s lazy. Only really seems to play well if the team is, don’t expect him to do anything to turn a game round. Not a player I’d be looking at in a relegation battle.

That said, nice kid so would be nice to see him do well somewhere.

Oh well. It's someone and an attacker. We just have to hope Jackson can get the best out of him.

I mean, I can’t say too much as we’ve signed Macauley fucking Bonne.

We've signed Mide Shodipo from QPR on loan until the end of the season.

Looked like he had a decent spell with Oxford a couple of seasons back, getting into double figures with goals. 11 appearances in the Championship this season under Beale but must have gone down the pecking order with the new manager.

Definitely a body needed in that area of the pitch with Garrick leaving.

See hes eligible for today so must have signed before 12pm yesterday. Looks a very promising signing!

Closest thing to any rumour we’ve had is we’d asked Sheffield Utd about taking Daniel Jebbison on loan but apparently their manager has said he is in their first team plans. Beyond that nothing but tumbleweed.

Michael Morrison looks set to return to Cambridge either in this window or when his contract expires in the summer. Asked by local journo's if there was any truth in the rumours he revealed that he would love to return there.

Not the greatest repost to a Portsmouth paper when you are one of the prime incumbents of a 14 game winless streak, edging closer to the relegation places, one of which is presently occupied by our league rivals Cambridge.

He'll be getting dogs abuse on Saturday if he's still here.

Might take some of the attention away from our owners I guess.

We’ve been linked with a few up here recently but yesterday Aiden O’Brien from Shrews, doesn’t appear to have done much this season, any thoughts?

We signed him knowing that he’s crocked for some stupid reason and so he was used as a sub to bring on for the last few minutes in the first few games. This injury that he already had before joining us was so persistent that he would miss a month here and there, coke back onto the bench, subbed on for two/three minutes and then he would be injured for yet another 4/5weeks. I’ve never known anything like it before!

To summarise, I’d stay well clear if I was you. Bloke is made of glass. Can’t see him lasting anymore than a couple more years in football as can see him retiring early due to this persistent injury (hope I’m wrong as that’s never nice to see). Can’t even judge him on his footballing ability as us Salop fans have probably seen him for a grand total of 10 minutes max in 6 months.

Why do you make things up when there's written evidence? It's the sign of a very stupid person. I said we probably looked at him and might enquire if he's available, the rest is all in your dense head.

3 goals in 13 Championship starts for a 19yr old in his first taste of senior football isn't exactly terrible. Especially in that God awful Stoke team, he's clearly a massive prospect.
Take this with a pinch of salt from the lard munchers down the road, but they were glad to see the back of him. Said he was awful. Could be better at this level though.

But he won't be at this level unless PNE have got relegated.

Moore saying we are monitoring our injuries and if the right players become available we will bring them in, rather that attitude than just bring players in for the sake of it.

Our injuries at the moment include Bannan, Byers, Ihiekwe, Heneghan and James but hopefully the squad depth can make do.

I listened to that interview online and it was a rather odd response to the question of are you going to Cambridge.

He paused, said no and was asked nothing in it at all? And his response was no, not at the moment.

Bonner has said we are close on a couple but those clubs need players in first. I now assume Morrison is one of those.

Well, he was under our medical team second half of last season so I'm not surprised. This pattern is very familiar to us (see Tom Lowery, Michael Jacobs, Joe Rafferty et al)

Heard through the grapevine we’re bringing in Charlie McNeil from United.

Borges is wanted by Dortmund now so yeh… I doubt he’s coming to L1.

I'm referring to the Andrew Moon interview and subsequent tweets.

I can understand that he has ties there and it would suit him and his wife to return.

However, thinking this and saying it whilst in our predicament shows a complete lack of understanding which probably isn't that surprising at all really. It hints at the defeatism running through the spine of our team. He's the experienced pro for the younger players to look up to and instead he's looking to jump ship at the first opportunity, and crying in the local press that the players need picking up.

Cowley said that he studiously studied the characters of potential signings as much as their performances. Judging by the self-pity being dished out recently, something must have gone very wrong this time around.

surprised City will have any dealings with Dortmund on loaning players out after Sancho.
Unless it is part of a Bellingham deal

Eh? Dortmund paid 8m plus a sell percentage for Sancho because he wanted out and didn’t think he’d play at City. They didn’t poach him or anything.

And have literally just bought Haaland as well. Albeit via a release clause

Looked quality when he came on at the weekend. Him & Cannon put the rest of the team to shame.

I know this is more relevant to the Championship but honestly I wouldn’t put any stock into how he did at that dump. The whole club is just toxic and where peoples careers go to die. City just had good sense to get him out to a better place.

So far as I can tell ourselves, Wycombe and Rovers it has just been completely dead in this window. That the same for anyone else even with rumours? Might just be a reflection the market in January is terrible for value.

Alex Neil also doesn't like the loan system.

He handed out 5 starts to Anthony Gordon who was being valued at £60m 12-18 months later.

Yeah this one below. Skip to the last 15 seconds for the question about returning to Cambridge United.

I've heard we've offered him an 18 month deal.

Thought he looked good at the start of the season but since then his form has dropped off and he's made quite a few clangers. Mind you, all of our players have dropped off in form.

Could regret an 18 month contract as his legs definitely seem to be going.

I think the plan is to play 3 at the back so I'm not concerned about his lack of pace.

Never said they poached anyone....I do know City did not want to sell Sancho at the time

Derby have signed a player that very few people have ever heard of in Tony Springett. A wide player, which is an area we're well covered, but hopefully he can prove to play a part for the final part of the season. Adds depth, at least, gives us a chance to keep NML fresh.

Jordan Hugill is the one that looks like has said that he wants to join us over other clubs, but nothing has been agreed between the clubs. It could either be a permanent deal or a loan one - he's out of contract at the end of the season anyway so looks as though it will be a trial period for him/us.

Oddly both from Norwich.

We can't pay any fees, plus we have a very strict wage cap that runs in line with our turnover which is monitored on a monthly basis. Thankfully, as we have in excess of 20,000 season ticket holders and average roughly 27,000 fans a game, we have quite a bit of room in our budget.

We're going to make a fairly healthy profit which is what the business plan called for, so yes - adhering to fair play.
