haha yeah I’m being harsh, it’s only one of two huge errors I can remember him making, the other being a dreadful back pass to the keeper at Wimbledon when there were no crowds which also led to a goal.

Just his general play is all a bit, meh.

Yeah I’ve just been having a scroll through Twitter and that seems to be the main opinion of him from your fans.

In his defence, it can’t have been easy playing for Charlton last season with having that rotten run and being so low on confidence. Here’s to hoping we get the Famewo you had in his first spell.

Because of the option to buy at the end of the season and it was his second season long loan, I wondered whether it was a case of him thinking a contract was in the bag and it was job done so he stepped off.

We’ll see next season I guess but can guarantee he has an absolute blinder on 13th August.

We've made an offer of £1m + topups for Leif Davis. Tidy left back and it's a position we were found lacking last season with both KVY and Penney both struggling. We've already brought in Greg Leigh so this second signing if it happens probably means Penney will be moving on.

The last two signings are looking good.
Welcome to FGR Olly
We were after him last season, and if we were after him then the recruitment team have that much trust in the bank that I’d imagine he’s a very good player.

Left back Reece James has signed on loan from Blackpool.

Needed after going all of last season without a genuine left back. I’ve heard his name before and think he played for Moore at Donny but it’s another one I don’t know too much about.

Unless Greg Leigh has improved massively he isn’t league 1 standard.

Pompey fans what’s Brandon Haunstrup like? Just signed him on a two year deal.

He came through our youth set-up and never really established himself as a regular starter and was up against the very experienced Lee Brown at the time.

When he did play he showed promise and liked to get forward and could deliver a decent ball in the box. The weakest part of his game was defending. He's been at Killie for a few years now so guessing he has improved with experience.

I'd say a solid signing at this level.

Bet you got excited when you first saw you’d signed full back Reece James, and then realised it probably wasn’t that Reece James.

Happened to me when I thought we’d signed Omar Bogle, only for it to actually be Omar Bugiel.

Pompey linked to Joe Rafferty, bloke is utterly fucking talentless. He's sort of fine if wingers are as slow as him.

It seems like James Collins is set to sign. The last time he played at this level he got 25 goals in the season. Not been afforded much of a chance at Cardiff, but he’s a known grafter who will add some grit to the team.

Collins is an interesting one. Works his socks off for the team even doing things he’s not particularly good at like dropping into general play etc.

He needs good service to be effective, he does drop deep and try and make things happen but he is technically limited and not really a very good hold up player but he will do it as a proper professional who won’t shirk responsibility. That season you refer to where he scored 25 goals at this level he had top top quality service into him through the fullbacks (James Justin, Jack Stacey) and midfield and a quick centre forward up with him in Harry Cornick who stretched play in behind as well so it was a bit of a perfect system for him to thrive. Get balls into him in the penalty area he is a brilliant finisher.

I do however wonder if we had the best of his career and he’s a bit over the hill now. There were signs of that before his Cardiff move, his last season here he scored double figure goals but a lot of penalties and a couple of hat tricks thrown in so it wasn’t consistent. Think we let go at the right time but a drop down may suit him. He’s pretty much always scored goals in his career.

Seems a decent signing on the face of it given the low fee - 1 in 3 from midfield, which isn't to be sniffed at albeit in the LOI.

A growing Irish contingent now with him, the manager, Scully, O'Connor and then young lads Roughan, Gallagher and Brooks.

Sounds like another player has signed, just waiting for the announcement.

Looks a promising signing, hope he hits the ground running!

Stll massively short in defensive midfield/ experiened players, and a striker too.

Is it still 5 loans allowed in the squad for next season? Can see them being utilised!

We've signed England U21 GK Carl Rushworth on loan from Brighton for the season. An area that needed attention because Long isn't ready for L1 football IMO and needs a season out at National League level or maybe even League 2, and Jordan Wright isn't good enough to be number one.

Linked with Derby earlier in the week.

Seemed pretty impressive when he was at Walsall. Reckon that's a smart addition.

Goalkeeper is a pretty high priority area for us as well especially after sending Covolan off to Chezzy for the season. Wouldn't have been against seeing about him ourselves.

Hopefully Long will get a L2 or National League loan for the season and ready to be number 1 in 12 months time.

We seemed nailed on to get him too, along with Roberts, so god know's what happened there. I really liked what I heard about him, so think that's a great pick up by Lincoln!

It would make me laugh if Lincoln offered a £1 loan fee to Brighton knowing that we can't match it.

We have a keeper. Shaun Macdonald has signed on a permanent deal. He'll play backup to whoever we've agreed to bring in on loan (deal done, but no mention on who it is yet).

Really not on board with this one. Jake was probably close to Wilson for man of the match in playoff final and finally looked over his injury worries. With Conlon not back until probably October I think this is a mistake but trust the process and all that.

Morecambe got a good player pending him maintaining his fitness.

Agree to a point. He was outstanding in the final, I worried about Mansfield’s midfield against our injury hit midfield but he was unplayable. Superb in the semi final as well but has to be remembered had been relatively anonymous or injured for 18 months so we’ve added in a sell on to protect ourselves on it and have made a fee on it.

Morecambe though is a bizarre destination purely because he isn’t what you’d class as a Derek Adams player, he’s not physical and is a creative footballer.

Makes sense on why we signed Ojo and are looking at Holden though and guess with Conlon close to fitness (should be back mid August now it seems) it’s not the end of the world but personally would have liked to have seen how he adapted if he stayed fit to this level.

It'll be later than that with Conlon. An injury like the one he had you don't rush things even if the article says he's progressing well. Seems we are giving ourselves more work to do the longer the window goes on. From DC's comments to the Sentinel we are looking at about 6-7 new signings before the end of August.

I'd be interested how Adams would use him. Tends to be quite defensive minded and we all saw how Jake looked against Bristol Rovers when asked to do that role.

Aaron Martin has also left Vale to sign for Eastleigh and be closer to his family, he was one I thought would struggle a bit this season so a sensible move in my opinion although thank him for his efforts last season, he rarely let us down in fairness.

Yeah that was one that was rather expected though thought beforehand an L2 team could be in for him. That’ll explain why he’s gone to the conference. During our run up the table last season he played a huge role for us having started slowly.
