We've signed Mide Shodipo from QPR on loan until the end of the season.

Looked like he had a decent spell with Oxford a couple of seasons back, getting into double figures with goals. 11 appearances in the Championship this season under Beale but must have gone down the pecking order with the new manager.

Definitely a body needed in that area of the pitch with Garrick leaving.
Can we have Vernam back now please?

So far as I can tell ourselves, Wycombe and Rovers it has just been completely dead in this window. That the same for anyone else even with rumours? Might just be a reflection the market in January is terrible for value.
How dare you, it sounds like we’re giving some young lad who can’t get a game at Scunthorpe a trial.

Yup, that’s as good as it gets.

Hugill has got to be on 10k plus a week. More crazy money for this level.
I'd say he's on around £20k at Norwich. He was on £37k a week at West Ham.

Norwich would just cover any excess until his contract is due to end, but yeah, you'd expect Derby would pay 50%.

I would imagine his current deal will be healthy, but it's up at the end of the season and his new terms will be reflective of his current status in football.

Similar to Hourihane when he joined.

PS. I'd definitely take Hugill back here on a free and on reasonable wages.

We can't pay any fees, plus we have a very strict wage cap that runs in line with our turnover which is monitored on a monthly basis. Thankfully, as we have in excess of 20,000 season ticket holders and average roughly 27,000 fans a game, we have quite a bit of room in our budget.

We're going to make a fairly healthy profit which is what the business plan called for, so yes - adhering to fair play.
And all those debts you avoided paying, bent c***

I haven't avoided any debts, personally. I think your gripe is with Mel Morris, why don't you take it up with him? I still have his mobile number if you want it - might do you some good.

Blaming Mel Morris is an easy way out for you lot, you weren't slating him when he was spunking millions on average players with enormous salaries.

Blaming the man who ran the debt up, for the debt, is an easy way out?

Who you would you blame for it? Also, how many fans do you know who slate their owners for spending money - typically it's not spending it that gets owners into shit.

Morris didn't post the accounts for over two years so there was also no way the fans could understand the problems behind the scenes, even if you wanted to blame the fans for not acting sooner. It would've been impossible for us to know how much the Lampard season cost despite seemingly turning over a profit on transfer fees.

We signed him knowing that he’s crocked for some stupid reason and so he was used as a sub to bring on for the last few minutes in the first few games. This injury that he already had before joining us was so persistent that he would miss a month here and there, coke back onto the bench, subbed on for two/three minutes and then he would be injured for yet another 4/5weeks. I’ve never known anything like it before!

To summarise, I’d stay well clear if I was you. Bloke is made of glass. Can’t see him lasting anymore than a couple more years in football as can see him retiring early due to this persistent injury (hope I’m wrong as that’s never nice to see). Can’t even judge him on his footballing ability as us Salop fans have probably seen him for a grand total of 10 minutes max in 6 months.
Cheers for that, yeah I looked at his stats and thought something must be up with him, it’s one I’d avoid too personally but it seems Harris and Jackett are keen on him from working with him previously.

Blimey, O’Brien and Henry. Did Jackett just bring his little black book of ex Millwall players with him?

Haha quite possibly, is there a Marriott connection too?

Don’t think there is actually, must have scouted him the old fashioned way.

Iles reporting that we hope to have a 3rd signing of the window before the Derby game. Bit of a mystery atm as to who it is.
Iles? No mystery there mate he's the local Bolton reporter.

Michael Morrison is "on his way" according to someone on our forum. No idea if it's credible though as he doesn't post too often.

You're more than welcome to him, just not until we've signed some players ourselves!
You've signed that QPR winger! We've let JMD go to Yeovil on a permanent deal now so it's over to you guys to let Vernam go to complete the circle.

We let Garrick go as well so we're still one winger down and probably waiting for the Diamond recall date to pass, too.

Harry Charlsley has left Vale to join Newport, expected and never once let us down. Wish him well.
