That must be the lowest visiting support we have had from a North West league club in decades. Even Accrington and Morecambe generally bring more.

I didn`t think there was that many. Pathetic support considering its only about 40 mile away. We`ve had Southern based non league teams bring more fans than that. About a dozen of them walked out after one of their substitutions with about 30 minutes to go so I assume that was his family and friends.

Count it officially as 1600, for me - we're normally quick at showing attendance figures (incl away fans), so the delay indicates something went wrong on the day, which the explanation from RLC covers. The 1600 were also proper fans who got behind their team, but also applauded the Dale players who got subbed off.

I hope Dale and Tranmere meet in League 1 next year.
I can confirm the point about the scanners. The operator on the turnstile I went through commented to me when his scanner failed on my ticket that it hadn`t worked for at least 10 minutes prior to that.

At vale they usually have somebody scanning your ticket or season ticket card as you go in. Yesterday though they were just counting people as they went through and doing tally charts in the railway stand so presume the scanners were broke again.

Scanners and card machines were down.

Jesus wept!
It really is refreshing to be back at a level where those numbers look poor. Our time in the National League was an eye opener. More than half of our 66 pre-pandemic away games were played in front of lower crowds than that Crawley game, with a low of 606 at Braintree. And as for fans visiting our place... 72 would have been none too shabby. The worst we saw was fifteen!

It's great to be back.

Yeah I read that 72 and didn't bat an eyelid then I gave me head a shake. Careful what you wish for lads etc etc.

Spot on otherwise, great to be back. Proper league this one and certainly we're all much happier for it.

The lowest visiting support we had in the National League was 11, against North Ferriby. We had as many fans as the home team at places like Boreham Wood, even for midweek matches.

I seem to remember Wrexham having zero visiting fans for one fixture (Histon I think).

Yep we’ve had 4 home games so far and for 3 of those we had Weymouth 76, Barnet 57 and then Eastleigh on Saturday brought 29.
Average bumped up a bit though by Wrexham bringing 507 the other Tuesday.

Meanwhile we’re currently averaging over 800 albeit after only 2 away games.

I think we had 6 from Histon once. Our home numbers are well within the lower end for this league as you'd expect for a club of our size but the proportion of which we take away isn't too shabby at all IMO.

We only sold just over 1600 for Rochdale. This weekend just shows what our owners have done to this club it’s normally 3000 for dale away I’ve heard people saying they not going because it’s going to be a toxic atmosphere our owner is back In The country this week for the first time since the pandemic started

Awful display second half. Subs baffling. Barrow well worth the 3 points.

2532 home fans today, can assume there were at least 500 Vale fans which means we had around 2k home fans. Just truly dire times for the football club.

To be honest you've had quite a number of years of being pretty decent (even playing in the second tier) so I think a drop down to your 1970's level is probably well overdue and not too surprising in the grand scheme of things.
