If your lot carry on the way they are going it might as well be you ready for next season.
Long way to go yet, four teams that have outspent us and load of plucky dark horses all smashing it up right now too so I'm not getting carried away. I would however like to see how many League Two clubs we're beating at away attendances this season though!

We've sold 900 tickets for Salford on Saturday, 400 left on sale with two days left, should be close to a 1,000, will be my first and probably only visit to Salford, just tick it off the list and never go back.
Make sure you stop on the way for a beer. According to my mates who went there for the Pizza Cup game the other week there`s not a pub anywhere near the ground. Nothing much there at all actually

Night games are a nightmare to travel too due to traffic. Going to Mansfield is meant be something like 1 hour 15 mins but on a Tuesday night would take 2 hours. Bristol usually around 2 hours 30 mins can see that taking 3 hours 30 mins to get there.

If anybody is doing the away averages then vales are as follows
Northampton away 1106
Stevenage away 400 estimate
Forest green away think it was 420
Swindon away 233
Scunthorpe away apparently was 800 but I thought it was 600 max
Sutton away 576

Good turn out when we haven’t won an away game yet this season

Why so few for us? It’s only another 40 miles on from Cobblers.

Never do to Swindon (usually as we get battered) as I’ve said before Oxford nearby and it’s 800-1000 most times

Might be your last chance to do so. Rumour has it that they are leaving for the Rugby stadium by the motorway soon.

Which of you no good lazy punks is supposed to be doing the average table in this thread?
I will try and sort something out next week but at present there are some teams played only 4 away games and isn’t very representative.

This season we seem to have quite a few estimated numbers which is frustrating. Even sometimes home attendances are difficult to get.

Pools now sold 1,000 for Salford on Sat, and sold out our 500 allocation for Bradford on Tuesday night.

Always makes me laugh this. Happens with us too when we sell anywhere out (not that we’re likely to this season). In reality there’s no more than 50 or so who actually do end up in the home end
We played Swansea in the FA Cup 5th round one season and they were all over the net saying how many of them had tickets all over Prenton Park. Up to 3 thousand of them supposedly. Entire coachloads had tickets for the Kop, The Paddock or the Main Stand. Come match day these hordes of Welshmen most have keep a very very low profile because nobody I know saw or heard any whatsoever.

Some confirmed numbers from our programme.

We took 582 to Harrogate officially so 50 people didn't show up, lucky bastards.

Exeter brought 206 here and Port Vale brought 510.

Probably a few minutes late out of the pub, saw it was game-over after a few mins and got another round in...who can blame them...

407 Barrow at Vale which I thought was excellent numbers. Expected 2-300 personally.

Impressive from both Mansfield and Barrow
Curiously, Mansfield had exactly the same 4-figure turnout (1019) as Hartlepool. That must be an unusual occurrence.

Not surprised by Barrow. They don't have a large number of fans in total but, as a percentage of their base, I'd guess their away following is among the best in the division.

I can't help but be impressed by our away following this season. If you factor in the miles travelled I'd be very surprised if we weren't among the very best in L2, up there with Bradford, and maybe Bristol Rovers, Swindon. All the more impressive considering we are currently on our worst away goal drought in 24 years. We are still riding the promotion/Challinor goodwill wave, but it can't last. Such numbers in such circumstances are unsustainable. Something has to give. Either the away form improves, or I expect to see those numbers start to drop. The speed of that drop would then depend on how well we can maintain the home form.
