Not many Cornish pasties in Tenerife, bud. Should have had a tuna empanada while I was watching

Depends which part of Tenerife, isn't playa de las Americas basically aimed at the Brits abroad? (I've made a huge assumption you've gone there, apologies about that!! :)) Surely you can get a Cornish Pasty as well as fish and chips, Shepherd's pie etc etc? Although I went to Tenerife probably approaching 20 years ago so that may have changed! There was definitely no Ifollow then, think the only way to find out the result was to buy an English paper the following day!!

Tuna empanada's sound ace!

A huge assumption indeed - I’m on the west coast near Los Gigantes. Think there’s an Irish pub down near the beach but the area as a whole is overwhelmingly Canarian. Only English kit I’ve seen so far was an AFC Wimbledon one.

Mansfield have allocated us 1,726.

Firstly on sale to the four loyalty bands - of which I’m not yet in.

I’m not complaining, but I just find it difficult to fathom when I’ve held a ST since 2001 - only missing 2020 due to the whole COVID debacle. I attend almost all home games (you’re rewarded 20 points if you attend). I get to almost all pre-season friendlies and early cup rounds. I try to get to away days when I can, but due to work commitments it isn’t always that simple - and the only chance I’ve got of getting a ticket for this fixture is if it reaches ST holder sales on Sunday 21st Aug.

There’s always the home end.

I honestly would not recommend trying to go in the home end at Mansfield, plus there not be too many tickets available anyway.

It was partly tongue in cheek, but come on, it’s Mansfield not Leeds away.

Never made out it is, but I don’t think it be a good idea that’s all. Unless you can definitely 100% stay quiet if you score a last minute goal

No trains and trying to get to Mansfield is a Ballache from anywhere.

But at the same time, turn that fixture around and I’m confident we would have taken more today.

Mansfield is shit for trains because it’s not on a main line but easy enough via coach or car. For what it’s worth the Stockport fans were decent enough but I expected 1500 minimum, very surprised to see less than a 1000.

Last season over or nearly1k at
Bradford C.
Walsall
oldham
Northampton twice
Port Vale
Tranmere
Scunthorpe
Salford
Sunderland(cup)
Doncaster (cup)

Thanks for that.

I think considering we did at Oldham and Salford it’s fair to suggest it’s likely we would have for Stockport today.

Obviously various factors ie time of year and form you do have it take in account aswell, and I’m not slagging off the Stockport following because you do get off attendances in august particularly I just expected more that’s all.

Speaking of away followings our local journo said you have requested 2,500 for the Micky mouse trophy game! Do you think you’ll sell them all? If you do you’ll out number us 3 to 1 as we usually get sub 1000 crowds since the change to the format.

It'll be a new ground for the younger generation and we sold 1800 at Mansfield in the competition last year so wouldn't surprise me.

Edit : I think our last visit was in the same competition live on telly when we lost on pens.

How many did you take to Oldham and Salford? Take off 15-20% off for literally no trains and that's a fair suggestion for how many you would have brought.

You'd bring nowhere near a 1000 today.

Mansfield fans don’t really travel via train often I don’t think due to the fact we are not connected to a mainline so I doubt that would affect us as much if I’m being honest, but yeah it’s definitely likely to affect Stockport more.

We took 1300+ to Salford and Oldham last season. I think 1000ish is about right for what we would take to Stockport today (using your own maths too haha) and I think I have a much better chance of guessing that than you shag. Settle down your defensive posture, you’ll get over it.

Aye I remember you took a keeper off pretty early on. I watched it on TV as couldn’t be bothered going and it was the day we announced Parkinson, the good times soon followed for a bit! We have a decent record against you, but we are usually terrible in this so expect a loss.

Is that when Gary Megson was in charge of Wednesday? Struggling to remember who we had in caretaker charge back then. Name completely escapes me!

Edit: Just remembered it was Colin Cooper.
