A Notts County fan called our away end ‘pathetically small’ on twitter today, quite ironic considering they only managed 1100 odd last time they visited :D

That was the year we got relegated and were a complete clusterfuck of a club on and off the field it tends to have a big impact on attendances.

No idea how old you are but if you were going to Field Mill in 2007/08 you will know exactly what I mean.

4002 :ohm:

Exactly, we live in the age of where this game means more to county fans than it does to mansfield fans bet not many county fans knocking around in the 80s/90s would’ve believed that!

Very hard to quantify but possibly true, due to our new lower aged demographic. But we've got a lot more fans so that makes sense.

It will always remain the ultimate example of Big Day Out.

Fuckin ell does thinking about that that keep you rigid when you’re with Mrs Conker? You go on about it enough.

I fully sympathise with the Grimsby lot, massive injustice committed by the Nazi Notts SAG.

No doubt Notts will shit themselves and only give us 1500 or so, the absolute whoppers.

I'd expect to get around the 3k mark similar to Grimsby though.

I've bit the bullet and five of us are going to Swindon in our party, three at 27 squid and my good lady and I with 65+ tickets at 22 squid. Robbing OAP's isn't nice!

So are Vale going to sell out their allocation at Field Mill in EFL cup?

Perhaps 1700

Personally don't think we'll fill it. It's still the League Cup after all. If we continue our fine start to the season though and are still in and around the top 6 by the time it comes around, who knows?

Stockport County.
£27 to go and watch football at Crewe Alexandra. Is this the same for everyone or have they just seen us coming because they know we'll sell it all?

Games gone etc etc.

Massive difference to that compared to the trophy game we have in a couple of weeks. £12 for adults and £2 for under 14(or less than that, but my lad is 11 so miles under).

£27 is outrageous.

Swindon were charging £23 for away fans about 18 years ago when most clubs were less than £20.

I didn’t realise they can give you that too, we only sold out the ice cream stand.
It's because you only sold the ice cream stand a couple of days before the game. So we had already starting selling tickets to home fans in that stand. County will sell out way in advance I'd think.

If we are near the top at the end of the season, with Crewe away our last league game of the season, think we'll get both stands.

Hell, we might even get both stands anyway as the demand is there at the moment, selling our away allocations everywhere.

Not really what I was getting at mate but the whoooosh is understandable with you being AWOL throughout your NL stint.

So what were you getting at buddy?

Your post was hardly lengthy so with so few words it wasy to interpret in more than one way.

Pray tell.... it's edge of your seat stuff.

3000 shifted for our cup final in Notts in the first 15mins

That's more like it, the pendulum has swung back to the norm.

Tickets sales for both clubs are through the roof more than 2 weeks in advance. Demand has never been so high for both clubs for this non-rivalry local derby.

Who knows the family stand could even sell out?

Huge L2 attendance incoming.... and a big boost in the away attendance averages.

I think both notts and mansfield have benefitted from forest being in the prem.

As neither notts or mansfield would be seen as a rival in any form by forest fans i guess maybe we’ve become 2nd teams for some.

Don’t believe it’s sold out yet so doubt the figures being chucked about were correct.

Why do you call them ‘nutts’ instead of Notts?

Sort of thing a 14 year old would think is funny not a fully grown man.

Anyone else starting to get the impression Spanishstag doesn't like the Notts fanbase?

Seriously only an idiot would think Forest finally getting back into the Premier League and selling out home games hasn't benefited the other two Nottinghamshire clubs attendances.

Unless of course you think those extra thousands now going to Field Mill are all dormant fans who stopped going in the 1980s??? Notts have clearly benefited and I'm chuffed about it. Home attendances after all are quiet important.

Even though the leagues the 3 are currently in doesn't support it's been a long long time since Nottinghamshire football has been this healthy since the early 90s when Forest were top tier and Notts second.
