Conflict of attendance stats :-
Gillingham claim 6431
Reginald F (Tranmere) claims 5283
As much as I'd love to boost us up the willy waving table instead of down it, I'd be astonished if there was 6431 there, the ground was a lot emptier than normal. Our supporters liaison people announced the 5283, which looked about right.

The cream are floating up to the top two. Is it fans of these two clubs getting to new grounds? or is the reason for their large away followings their scintillating attacking football?

It is quite simply because Wrexham have about 1000 Americans going to every away match and Notts have about 500-750 Forest fans doing the same.

Yup that's it and both sides win more than they lose and their games involve entertainment and lots of goals.

Second in average away attendances, second in average home attendances. Plus we are one of the most generous clubs in terms of away allocations at the Lane. You're welcome.

Thank you big brother for your continued support during these exciting times.

Regarding us, I'd say its a mix of getting a chance to watch Wrexham by going away, but even before Hollywood, we have had some good away figures even in non league (Chesterfield away in 2018 we took 1800+), then the old school who want to go every week. Then added on to watching us keeping on winning also helps.

Our younger fans are making these trips to tick grounds off they've not done I guess. Not having played against some opposition in some instances for 20+ years doesn't help.

God knows what’s going on with ours, Stockport has sold out a month in advance, Harrogate went on sale this morning and is basically gone already. Gonna be four sell outs in a row, never thought I’d see the day.

I had definitely assumed I had longer to make a decision about Stockport. It's a good job we never sell out at Mansfield or my next realistic option might have been Bradford

Yep, great going from Notts (although selling out Harroagte doesn't really count). Will be the first season in ages that you'll have been able to fill the whole Osmond End at Blundell Park and you won't be getting it unfortunately. Is this it now for Notts? Are you massive now, or do you think it'll dip?

It has to dip, these are unprecedented, and frankly unsustainable levels. Any Notts fan with a little grey in their beard knows that.

The very impressive followings we've taken to Donny, MK for example plus selling out so often has never happened in my lifetime as a fan.

Our home attendances have always been more than decent compared to many, but away we were sadly underrepresented but alongside our recent success, winning more than losing for 4 straight seasons we also have had a big shift in the demographic supporting Notts. So more likely to travel now than when our average age of supporter was 63!

Whilst Strange Luke and the Danish Duo are all at the club we should be good for a while yet but never expected over 10,000 average home crowd , and over 1,000 away. Certainly not in L2. Just shows what having a proper run club by fantastic owners can do.

I didn't know Stockport tickets were out yet?

We've probably lifted the support base by 3,000 in the last two seasons. Tomorrow with very few away fans on a cold Tuesday will tell us what the core is, I'm expecting about 6-6,500.

They were a few days ago, directly through Stockport. Think we did put something on the website. I didn’t even realise until someone messaged me on the way back on Saturday saying there was only a few left.

I’m not sure it’s sustainable at its current levels (but another promotion in the next couple of seasons and who knows I guess), but it’s great. Our supporter base is getting noticeably younger as well, particularly away - Forest finally sorting themselves out has weirdly been great for us, if you’re a lad just getting into going down the football in Nottingham now, with season ticket waiting lists and no sniff with aways over there, we’re becoming much more of a choice for kids without a really strong family tie to them.

Yeah I thought that age shift was noticeable even when comparing Feb 2022 (I think that was when we played you at ML in the NL) to Aug 2023 even. Not only younger but a bit more boisterous too, which I guess is to he expected. Plenty of shit being given to Town fans on the way out of the ground after the match back in August.

Fairly sure that's the lowest attendance at home (in a league match) of FGR fans since we've been in the EFL.

Wasn’t there but looking at pictures the official “attendance” of 4,962 is an even bigger piss take than Donny away last season.
My initial reaction to that is also not a chance mate, but it's hard to tell in these big stadiums. Stand down the left looked to be as sparsely populated as the one opposite.

What a ridiculous stadium for League 2 football. Massive Darlo vibes going on there.

Would be a ridiculous dip, they've been getting 9000+ on the regs this season, haven't they?

No change at top of the leader board and can't see it changing this season. I think we need to give the trophy to our American/Welsh friends now.

Be interesting over the Xmas week, Swindon (big allocation) and Walsall (also big allocation) will see our numbers jump right up again. Took a bit of a nose dive but thats due to us being away at Harrogate. Can't really see anyone winning this willy waving trophy.

Surely someone has to win it, if not then what is northendexile pissing about at with all these tables?

There is no real surprise in the current top 6.
