Sorry that doesn’t count on the away averages as it was a big 6 pointer.
All manipulated by Mansfield - they deliberately lost a few games, by this stage they should have already clinched the title, with the team and fans on the beach…

275 was the figure given on the TRFC site. May be a typo. Where does your 274 come from, the Newport site?
yes, on the Newport web site, the home only figure was 4275 (4549 - 274).
I am sure a misunderstanding with press officers. When there is differences I normally go with the home side numbers.

Following yesterday's numbers, Mansfield win the silver medal and can't be caught. Bradford City sneak into the bronze medal place but its still very tight between them and the two county's. Grimsby will finish in an admirable sixth place. With tin pot Harrogate finishing with the wooden spoon.

Of course this isn't the real table as supporters per mile travelled, whether numbers are restricted by sell out way ends and mid week games affect numbers. So I will be doing a proper willy waving table once all regular season games are played.
Any chance you can do a table where you factor in how shit a team is compared to their away support, so say the lower the league position the higher it goes up by etc……… :bg:

I am so happy we have overtaken Salford in this table. That may be the only positive thing about this season, if it continues (and given our remaining away match is at Morecambe, perhaps it won't)

Our final two away days are Barrow and Walsall.

Barrow was sold out (1,000) weeks ago. It’s been postponed twice. Walsall, I can’t see us taking many more than a 1,000 down. Our average won’t change much.

And with your growth trend at some point you’ll overtake Leeds. I can now understand Dale’s passion for reducing carbon emissions, humanity needs time for that to happen before we all burn.

Final game of the season tickets went on sale for barrow and sold out in like 5 minutes again.

Crawley could be propelled out of the relegation zone with our fixture down the road.

Faster than Bradford would have…but that Yorkshire for you, they like to hold on to their money for a few minutes longer…

5 teams with away averages comfortably over 1000. That can't be too common?

3 of them are the 3 sides who will automatically go up and have been Top 5 pretty much all season long. The other 2 both occupy bottom half league positions. Impressive stuff from the Bantams and Magpies.

Gillingham and Grimsby stand out for me, unheard of numbers from Notts this season too, obviously the buzz of being back in the big time helps and hopefully it holds up for them.

Yes impressive from Notts but think it needs an asterisk in the table they looked nailed on for top 3 until a 5-5 draw created a total collapse in confidence.

The other asterick is Mansfield btw, for reasons above - - artificial creation of a late season 6 pointer at the only venue that offers virtually unlimited away capacity.

The unheard of numbers are unsurprisingly massively helped by unheard of numbers at home. Contrary to popular belief on here these are the more important attendance figures. Little old Notts County with a season average of comfortable over 10,000 is quite frankly unthinkable for Notts fans. That number will surely drop considerably next season now the clear buzz has dropped a few levels.

As is often the case it all depends on how we start next season. If it's poor those impressive averages home and awat will drop significantly especially with fewer away fans expected. If we are in the playoffs or higher come for the first half of the season the away average will again be over 1000.

Only a supporter of a team who has been fighting relegation all season would think we were nailed on for a top 3 finish in mid January

We’ve travelled well all season and probably hit the top for noise too, so that asterisk can piss off :bg:

I did know quite a few silly County fans that were adamant a top three was on the cards mind!

Yes, I guess it’s all a bit of blur up the top end for us. It’s 20 years since we’ve needed to assimilate what the top end of an EFL table looks like…

Quite a few? Is that the two or three?

There were plenty who thought that prior to Christmas and with every good reasons. Then we started playing the good teams, oh and our inspirational head coach was poached by a Championship club in January so there's that.

Looks like the 2nd year in a row we'll escape relegation at the death - tickets now sold out pending the extra release

Haven't seen anything saying we've sold out, but we probably will. If we hadn't tossed our form off a cliff in the last month they would be gone by now, but the Barrow result might encourage a few more to go. Think it depends on what happens this midweek and if we're in with a sniff still.
