Encouraged by those two Comrades in Arms: - GTFCfish (Grimsby) & Northstandexile (Mansfield), I’ve produced table below of average away support.
Understandable why they want such table as both of their clubs are near top of table. And of course Grimsby sent the largest EFL2 away support of season for their 1st away game.
Okay, the numbers were lifted from figures supplied on this thread and we all know some are slightly dubious but, all the same, it gives a flavour of a team’s away support.

I expect that these figures will be high point of season with winter approaching combined with plenty of mid-week games.
For those wanting to check their team’s games against spreadsheet click on

Fair play to them, absolute shit-bastard of a journey that with no away wins this season, 40% more than Harrogate managed last week.

Fantastic work Alfie that should keep the regulars happy.
Just for accuracy's sake, I think you have a number of typo's
Just a few out on some
Stockport had 935 for one game not 934
Mansfield 2200 not 2220
Grimsby 1025 not 1045
Swindon 1221 not 1220
Bradford 1331 not 1343
Doncaster 535 not 523
Barrow 392 not 450
FGR 180 not 186
Notts 1245 not 1246

Perhaps you can give official links for your difference in numbers if you think your numbers are correct.

But good work for an apprentice.

Accuracy is always important but doesn't look like any of that will alter the positions in the table.

Slightly embarrassing for L2 that we are currently top when it comes to the all important away followings.

Table amended according to your figures although I was happy with my own.
And surprise, surprise no change in table placings.

If you are happy with incorrect figures this isn’t for you shag.

There’s got to be some applause for someone being keen enough to collate the figures.

However, if said person collated the figures incorrectly it nullifies the above.

Hang on, I've been out all day so not had chance to double check Northstandexiles data.
B4 I added table to thread I did check my figures.
But it is easier to accept his numbers. I don't want any fuss especially when his numbers only alter total average by one away supporter.
BTW I had to smile when our friend asked me for proof of my numbers (which I had already detailed on post) but failed to do so for himself.
And what about his comrade who blatantly tried to double the numbers at Bradford game. You gotta larf.

I checked Northstander’s figures and okay I did get one or two incorrect but not all.
[#] Barrow: - post 13,462 dated Sep 2 states 450 Barrow fans (at Harrogate)
[#] Bradford: - post 13,183 dated Aug 15 states 1343 City at Stockport.
I didn’t bother checking where we had one supporter different.
However the numbers were on the weekly roundup that Northstander apparently failed to check at the time.

I am a senior OAP, a cough and splutter away from meeting my maker, so I don’t want grief when posting these figures. I do it because I no longer able to attend matches and am doing this to fill that void. But if you or anybody else wants to carry on this work please PM me with your email address and I forward the spreadsheet for you to carry on.

Our average will nosedive over the coming weeks.

Newport, Tranmere (Tues night), Wimbledon and Sutton up next. Long, less appealing awaydays coinciding with poor form, I’d expect us to be at around 1,000 average come the end of Oct.

Yep, I was being completely serious about having 3000 in Bradford’s home ends too.
If that be so please photocopy & post official away figures for game, such as the Mighty Bantam did for Bradford away at Stockport (post 13,848). I will be more than happy to amend record.

Alfie, you mustn’t take things to heart, it’s a message board for fans following crap football teams in the 4th division. However, my point being is if you collate the figures accurately (which appears to be done now) then it works better, also the issue where it’s just away fans and nothing else seems to be rectified also as that’s the obvious way in how the figures would be collated.

Look, we had 4000 fans in Bradford’s home ends, stop disputing it and just add it on to the averages ok?

Crap teams?
We’re one of last years FA Cup quarter finalists ffs.

And we used to be in the top division.*

Interesting fact: Some current L2 teams have never been in the top division during David Attenborough's life or in fact ever!

We're one of them teams. Highest we have got is what is the Championship of today. Labelled as the best footballing team outside Division 1 (now the prem) from Shankley.

That's good but Grimsby will forever will the best praise from the legendary manager:

"Pound for pound, and class for class, the best football team I have seen in England since the war"
