Some crazy results in our league today.

Who's this beast that scored a hattrick for Newport? You should see his first goal, it's an absolute belter!

Too late the shout box was used for today's match thread, you didn't want one, so can't now have one cause you missed it when it wasn't there.

Well it's not being used for it right now and this is an ideal thread.

So we're the other threads in previous weeks that you complained you didn't want to scroll through several pages to find a mention of carlisle

My idea of this thread is to have it mainly as a L2 chat thread but on match days it can also be used kind of like a match thread for those that don't already have one.

You get me?

By the way your grammar is shocking!

Do they not teach English where you're from? Where is it Grimsby? Hardly surprising.

It's unusual because you're usually bottom at this time of the season!

Maybe you'll have your shit patch later on.

I'm genuinely concerned about us going down. We look horrendous and 5 reds in 5 is fucking nuts. Slade has lost it in record time.

Frank Nouble, ex West Ham, signed from Southend. Can sometimes seem to lack a bit of coordination but a real handful. Five goals this season now and potentially an excellent partnership with Padraig Amond judging on this afternoon's evidence. Hoping for an altogether more relaxing season!

Why the fuck did the Grimsby board hire Slade to be their manager? Did they not see what happened to us last season?

Imagine a kitten. Imagine that kitten with big round eyes, mewing at you for a bit of food.

That's what our attack looks like without Akinde. Coulthirst is dog poo. JLAA is good but more suited to a support striker - and supporting Coulthirst is a fucking impossible task.

I did not go to Blundell Park, and I haven't seen us this season, so these views should probably be taken with more like an entire salt mine than a pinch of salt.

But I'm not liking the whole "shit defence" thing we've got going on at the mo.

Yes, we're scoring goals - but we're shipping them like a Kevin Keegan side.

Anyway. Enjoyed reading the Grimsby fans' (accurate, sour grapeless) views that we're shit but we did a job.

Probably because there was no one else and he has done well with lesser teams in the past so it was not a bad call.

You weren't great, but didn't need to be, it took a penalty and wonder goal for us to get back into it, but it would have been shocking for you if you didn't win, we were that poor.

Because John Fenty never learns that continuity builds success despite our only success in decades coming from a 6 year spell under Paul Hurst. He hired Marcus Bignot promising the same sort of idea to sack him after 6 months because his best mate was available. FWIW while I was fuming Bignot was sacked, I wasn't totally unhappy that Slade was replacing him. I guess the true fools are fans like me. A year ago I would've never imagined a disconnect from the club as big as the one we're experiencing now. I can't see us going the whole season without a Fenty out brigade in full swing.

He has a finish and some pace but he needs some serious, quality coaching to make it in L2.

It's already started. No one is entirely certain yet whether Slade hasn't received the funding or whether Slade has just found bad players. But it will be interesting to see if we're near the bottom after 12/13 games to see what Honest John does.

Wind your neck in matey boy. Big Frank is gonna get yer. All the planets align next week - drop off our kid at the Exeter Uni open day then off to the game. Can't see anything other than a Newport win, just like last season. 2 - 0 to the Port.

It's already starting, I read the fishy yesterday expecting to see Slade out threads but instead there is several criticising Fenty and virtually nothing on Slade.

It's been coming for a while especially with the whole b team fiasco, the trust questioning whether they should be the board anymore etc.

If things carry on i can see big protests over Fenty soon.

Frankly he's brought it on himself too. After losing to rovers at Wembley the fans and clubs came together massively, like nothing I've seen before and Fenty managed to throw it all away in one season back in the league. He's been with us 13 years now, and apart from avoiding admin, and a playoff final in a league he sent us too, he has brought zero success

It's also telling that yesterdays attendance was already lower than any league game last season and it's only the second home league game of the season

I've seen nothing from him apart from the ability to make a decent run and then completely balls up the finish.

Going away to Newport and losing 4-1, fucking embarassing. Deservedly ahead at the break, then we concede a goal and the mental fragility we've accumulated over the last couple seasons came rushing to the surface and we capitulated. I'm not sure how to get that out of them, but I am sure that Caldwell hasn't got much of a clue what he's doing. Play 4 at the back, with a diamond in the midfield then wonder why your fullbacks are repeatedly hung out to dry, yet doing nothing about it. Shocking.

However it is even worse for you lot though because you lost to them and their pitch is not terrible yet!!

At least then you would of had that excuse.

Most Wycombe fans on various forums blame the signing of El-Abd who doesn't look good in the centre of defence for our poor goals against which is 10 after 4 games which is unheard of for us,Brown in goal is poor as well so don't be surprised if we bring a keeper in on loan before Thursday.

Coulthirst is dog toffee, truly Westley's worst signing for us and there was plenty of them. He's always offside, his first touch is woeful and his ball control is abysmal. Santos who we flogged to you isn't much better either. Barry Fry has stitched Barnet right up flogging you these two...

Yep I am a prime example of this, last season I went to every home game unless I had a valid reason like Hartlepool was on my daughters Birthday, one game (can't remember which) we were away etc, and the last few with nothing to play for I didn't bother.
This season against Wycombe I didn't go just because I didn't want to as we are playing typical Slade hoof ball.
Seems a lot of other supporters are feeling the same sadly.
