Just watching the u17 0-3 up againsty France on BBC iplayer. Their group has France, Portugal and Spain!

Just on a general point England have some really exciting talent in this age group, any French team is going to be formidable so this is some going. Already set my heart on us loaning Mikey Moore from Tottenham not that we would have a prayer of landing him. Dipepa pleasingly has not looked one bit out of place. Must be some culture shock between playing with these and then seeing the other end of the spectrum with Ryan Loft and Uche Ikpeazu when with us.

Chuffed for Dipepa, real positive from last season was his break through, scored more than Loft and Uche combined in a fraction of the minutes!

4 in 4 for England now and with the big clubs circling that three year deal puts us in a nice position. Did well tonight so hopefully more £££ on his fee.

Would like to see him with us in L2 mind, our youth players have really started to come through for us, either through big money sales before getting to first team level or breaking through. Hoping L2 will see some of them really flourish for us such as Shorrock, Planty and maybe Walter’s if he stays.

Oh yeah. :ffs:

Still, more than they've been doing. Surely they'll give the entire away stand to the bigger followings like Notts County, Grimsby, Bradford and Donny should they stay down.
We've sold 500 odd STs in that stand already so it would be some do.

We managed to accommodate about 950 Hartlepool fans this season and they sold out the East so imagine that will be our limit (unless we are doing really shit and demand isn't there)

Doesn’t it cater for a split option?

Some outstanding GK names, too.

Goalkeepers: Spike Brits (Manchester City), Douglass Lukjanciks (Everton), Oliver Whatmuff (Manchester City)

Nope can't split the concourses in the North, just the East (and even that inconveniences home fans in that stand - the main reason I moved my ST - as there's less toilets so big queues, less concourse space and bigger queues to get in so all in all a shit experience in my opinion for someone that likes to rock up at 2.45 and grab a quick pint

When we were getting home sellouts towards the end of last season we put 150 odd Boreham Wood and Maidenhead fans in the North stand block 5 to allow us to get 10k home fans in the ground, but we didnt let them on the concourse, they had to use the facilities in the Community Hub/Cafe so exit the ground which we won't do for big numbers

Poor that! Used to like my visits to Chesterfield.

It seems most clubs are going this way, in terms of offering shite allocations. Can only hope you have a diabolical season then - no offence! ;)

Shame that’s all you can get at Chesterfield now. That one will probably need a good amount of loyalty points to get a ticket for that one.

At Vale teams should be able to have up to 3100 if they need it which I’d imagine will be sufficient for all. Less than it used to be but that’s just a product of swapping the home and away ends round than purposely reducing away numbers.

1100 at our place now too (down from 1800). Think we'd need to get you at the business end of the seaaon and be involved in something to get anywhere near close to selling out 3100. Away on the opening day we'd maybe half fill it. We don't traditionally travel we'll over that way though. Also a bit gutted about Chesterfield away, that's one we usually take plenty to. Will be tough to get a ticket for that.

I am just glad the Stags are not in this tin pot league of away allocations now. :)

Still 2,750 at VP - can stretch to 3,100 if the club really want to.

Now we’ve lost Stockport, Wrexham and Mansfield, I can only see Grimsby travelling here in numbers - and even then, I don’t think they’ll sell out unless they’re playing well.

Doncaster have never sold out here in recent times. They fetched 2,000 on the opening day a couple of seasons ago, but generally, they don’t travel well in numbers.

Tranmere brought about 1,700 here three seasons ago. We almost always play them on Tues night anyway. Sub-1,000 expected from them.

Notts County could bring a few, but they generally brought less than 1,000 prior to last years feel good factor.

Carlisle will bring OK numbers, but I very much doubt they’ll sell out. They fetched 2,440 in the play-off semis last season, but tend to bring circa 1,500 - sometimes less than a 1,000.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if our local plods and/or Sky switch both our matches to early kickoffs again. I'd say we'd probably take 1500 bare minimum to Bradford, if it's an early kickoff/midweek game and we're playing shit for example. Any improvement on those factors and we'll get closer to selling out but yeah you're right, it'll take us playing well and a Saturday 3pm to get it right up to the top end of that 2750+. Definitely doable though in the right circumstances.

That’s an absolute given!

That and Tranmere away on a Tues night.

That’s around 30% of our home support so it’s hardly poor

Yeah I’d agree with that, with an absolute stinker of a season I’d expect 1200-1500 but a season where we are anywhere near the play off race and we’d definitely take 2k minimum.

Fair play to Mariners fans. You usually rock up in very good numbers and probably the noisiest fans always generating a great atmosphere

I can't imagine there will be many bringing even half the 1100 to BP next season , I can only think of 4 maybe 5 teams at a push that will sell it out

We give basically more than everyone..... and still you hear moans.

Tinpot
Yeah but that concourse isn't fit to accommodate 50 people. Imo it's still oversold even with the decreased capacity. Shame there's no way to extend the concourse as otherwise its a good away day.

It’s my new favourite away day I’ve been the last 2 seasons and I will be again this season as long as I’m not working.

Give over, it’s poor!

That was Bury/Rochdale’s old trick. Never interested in averages, just the home/away ratio. Just because you average absolutely shite numbers at home and take a handful away, doesn’t justify shite numbers for fixtures less than 40 mile away.

That might upset a few on here, but by that logic, United have shite away support because they’re unable to fetch more than 3k to most away games whilst averaging 70k+ at home.

If the worst thing and only complaint about an away day is the concourse you are doing very well.

Firthy, you are in no position to talk about anything that's poor attendance wise. if you want to talk averages, then lets ask why Bradford averaged 6.2% of their home averages on the road this season. Only Crawley did worse.

You have the worst fan base in the league and it's not even close. You cream over false home numbers that are heavily inflated by the fact your season tickets are the cheapest in the league. Put them up to league average prices and you'd be struggling to crack 10,000, like you've done for most of your history. That's awful for a town with a 550,000 population.

You have no right to talk smack about anyone's attendances, home or away.

He has every right to talk about attendances especially home ones. Let's not kid over selves the home attendances are sensational considering Bradford have been dog shit for ages and performing well below where their income should have them. Yes this of offset by a laughably high rent for the stadium but each season the marketing team work wonders to easily convince so many locals to pay for another season of disappointment even at discounted prices.

You behave given you don’t sell out at ours with your Leedsesque support.
The counter argument is utter shite Manure sell out all the time, and if offered 30% of their home support they’d still sell out.
I’ve no problem with us being a small club with a small supporter base but then I don’t sit in the dark wanking over attendances all season unlike yourself

Not wanting to get involved in an attendance argument, because it feels like bald men arguing over a comb and anyone who actually goes to League Two games deserves respect over sitting watching Sky and supporting United as some plastic.

But it's nonsense to call out home support shite, away fair enough but if we weren't scratching around and having protests etc. then it would hold up better just like anyone's. But our home season tickets are now £249, when they were £149 in League One we'd sell similar numbers, so they have held up reasonably well considering a relegation and six seasons of crap with only two top half finishes. The likes of Crewe would lower their prices if it could guarantee them filling their stadiums, heck we've been told as much by a number of clubs at this level hence why they have to charge so much. Plus the 3k we average POTD at £20-£25 ticks us over nicely as well.
