We’ve told George Lapslie he can leave the club for free, presumably Mansfield will try and snap him up but imagine there will be a few interested in this division now.

We've appointed Lee Turnbull as recruitment director. Hopefully will put an end to the complete shite we manage to sign every season.

Any good scunny fans?

That's a big ask. It's going to be nigh on impossible for you to pick up match fit players in January as there's going to be a premium on anyone who has played football since last season was curtailed. It would be hard enough to fill those positions with match fit players even if you didn't also state they have to be a step up on what is already a mostly quality squad

The squad is decent but lacking in key areas hence the need for 4 players equal or better than what we have at the moment.
A keeper is a must and we can bring one in for very little outlay by sending Crellin back to Fleetwood.
A current lge 1 keeper has been mentioned who wants to return to the North west and whose contract runs out in the Summer. Lwb We have two though one gone out on loan and we will proberbly try and send Mascoll out on loan. We have tried for Declan John from Swansea who played 20 odd premier games for Cardiff and 30 odd Scottish premier games for Rangers, so far Swansea have said no.
A contract offer gone in to Kieron Lee ex Shef wed player who has been training with us, he has a host of clubs from lge1/2 wanting to sign him. 30 games last season in the championship.
Evatt wants a Big forward for when we are away from home against the physical teams.
No names have leaked out yet up here, but it may be down to who is available.
I would not mind Ched Evans but i cannot see him dropping down to lge 2

We have also signed constant shit at our club. Only our chairman knows how responsible Lee Turnbull was for that, nobody knows who's decision it actually is to sign the players we do.

He was really highly regarded at the club a long time ago for bringing in Billy Sharp and Gary Hooper, they both were brought over ten years ago though.

He fits the mould of the type of central midfielder we need and its an area we need to look to strengthen.

Lapslie was Mansfield's best player against Crawley too.

If he doesn't fancy a permanent move up north from his London home I wouldn't be upset if he rocked up at Crawley.

His brother is at Colchester so if he aint going to Mansfield good chance he'll end up there.

As always, it depends on who has the finances so it wouldn't be us.

Lapslie is just about good enough for anybody in this division, dunno if we will go for permanent deal but the fans want the club too.

We have good room in the cap too, so can make a solid offer if necessary.

He was dire against us in our 4-2 win at your place - looked disinterested most of the match. Perhaps that was just a plan to get rid of Coughlan though.

Scott Twine will be returning to us from his loan at Newport.

Shows how bad we are when his return is being lauded.

Dan; no idea what you have been doing to him if he is considered not good enough for Swindon.

An assist machine for Newport this season and from what I saw of him the other day he is easily good enough for league 1.

Wellens didn’t fancy him so he’s never had a chance - always banged on about him not being physical enough. This loan has obviously shown him good enough. I’d imagine he’ll get a regular start with us.

That game, which is one of the worst performances I’ve ever seen by a Mansfield side at Field Mill cannot really be used to judge him.

Other than his sending off on his debut, which I can’t quite remember but I think was a tad harsh, he’s played well mostly and scored a couple too!

The font of truth that is the Dailly Mail are saying that Brighton, Swansea, Watford and West Brom are after Max Watters.

Much as I wish him the best I've got to say they may be above his level at the moment.

Mind you. Goalscorers tend to score whatever level they play at.

Wouldn’t be a bad landing spot for him, close to home with a young family.

Apart from when we sign a few from non league and then realise that they can’t hit a barn door in League 2.

Cooper confirmed yesterday that Liam Kitching hasn't been in training for the past couple of weeks as he tries to push his move to Barnsley through. No bid accepted as of yet.

Have him up north, cannot pay you a fee but we will sort you out come May....We may even send you a team when we return to the premier league in 2023

Been reported we have turned down £500k for Watters from Swansea.

In this day and age that's bold.

We're being linked with a loan move for Rangers winger Josh McPake, who's just back from a successful loan spell at Morton.

Harrogate, Salford plus FGR interested in loan move for this 19-year-old.
He might not get regular 1st team football at Salford leaving Harrogate or FGR.
He has an impressive CV so could well be a decent loan till end of season.
