Crazy how players just work at certain clubs. When we had him the other year he didn't play much in his defense but when he did he just looked so poor. Now he's banging in the goals. I know Scrimshaw wasn't that highly rated when he was on loan at you but he's been pretty good here, albeit in a terrible team that barely creates chances.

Scrimaldo was pretty liked here worked hard and looked decent enough but Adebayo was still here then so he didnt get many starts.

I reckon if you think about all the possible factors, like the lad maturing, clicking with the coach etc it's not that odd but then you do get the ones who go away and come back under a different manager and click again after failing elsewhere, so yeah.

Same at Bradford City, Miller looked like a schoolboy who had won a prize to play in the team, running around like a headless bantam every game.

Fair play to him and Walsall who seem to be getting something out of him that no other club had managed.

Did well with us too. Clearly Bradford and Scunthorpe have something in common.

Championship apparently with a 5 year plan. Innovative idea, if only other clubs had ever thought of something like that.
I seem to remember around three or four years ago we had a 5 year plan to get into the Championship, now I’m going to make a really bold claim here and say that I don’t think we are going to quite manage it in that timeframe.

Ricardo German goes on loan from Crawley to Dulwich Hamlet.

I was, sorta, hoping he would kick on this season but he has been nowhere near the first team.

Also, looks as though we may be doing a fire sale in January. We have way too many players on our books and most are nowhere near the first team.

I see Shawn McCoulsky has signed for Col U "on a short-term deal". Seemed a very decent guy, but to say he didn't come close to living up to our expectations would be an understatement. Thankfully things have gone much better with our subsequent signing from Newport, where(we were given the impression, at least) apparently he really did shine..

He was at Grimsby last year and played against us. He’s a good, young centre-half – only 23.

“We are trying to make sure he’s a Walsall player.

Doubt we want to keep him will probably be about getting the right price.

Looks like Scott Burgess is being moved back from training with the kids. He was one of the three with Theo Robinson and Whitehead to be kept away from the squad but DC has let him back in.

In fairness I felt he was hard done to; Jake Taylor and Burgess kept Conlon out the side for long periods a couple of seasons back and is a decent player there.

Anthony Evans is absolutely dreadful, one of the worst players I've seen at us in the last few years.

Junior Brown was a Crewe lad but we released him when he was quite young. Nice kid but unsure he's EFL standard.
Evans has been class from his first game for us. Already has the fans urging Rovers to tie him down on a longer contract

Josh Galloway played for us in the Lancashire Cup this afternoon - presumably another Leeds youngster Cooper is hoping to sign. Didn't the Carlisle fans have high hopes for him at one point?

Alex was captain of the Derby under age sides for many years and was surprised seeing play for Banbury in FACup the other week.
I thought he would have made the first team. Actually I know his grandmother as she doesn’t live that far from us.

Bottega Don, you don't fancy taking Adelakun on loan in January do you, to try and get some form into him? He's been absolutely stinking here.

We would take absolutely anybody right now, if you've got anyone of even slight quality we'd take him.

Strange that he's been struggling so much, thought Lincoln would be the perfect move for him.

See Barrow have taken Josh Galloway on trial after Leeds have deemed him surplus to requirements.

Shame for the lad, only a couple of years ago he was one of our hottest prospects, shone during a pre-season campaign and was then snapped up by Leeds without having kicked a ball for us... but this is what the big clubs do they buy promising players on the off-chance that they will blossom into Premier League standard pros and if they don't then they've had some top quality coaching but played no form of competitive football for years.

That said, signing for Barrow after a couple of years at Leeds would be a good move for him, he's still only 19 and so many players in his situation are kept hanging on by their clubs until 24, by which point they struggle to adjust to any form of competitive football and drift out of the professional game altogether.

Barrow meanwhile are only a few players off being able to field an ex-Carlisle XI

Agree
Thats why from a young players point of view the National League is so important, Its a possible stepping stone to the football league.
I understand also why we as supporters dislike it, Its such a twat to get out of.

Wouldn't be surprised if Keith Hill tries to get Charlie Jolley on loan. He supposedly signed him for Tranmere and he is a long way from our 1st team.
