Was naff first half of the season playing as a winger. When Flynn came in he switched to wing back and was much better and was one of our better performers in the second half of the season. I'm curious as to where he will play for you.

Is he left or right sided JO? From memory he stood out when we beat you 5-0 at our place, looked very tricky at LB/LWB? At the moment I have no clue where he might play, we don't have many players currently!!

Interesting signing. Looks quite tall as well (unless the new gaffer is tiny, never really paid attention to him before).

Some decent comments from Walsall fans, couple of 'meh's' as well. Seems he will offer versatility if nothing else.

Bennett may well have improved, but he was completely out of his depth at this level when we got him from you. It was no surprise to see him drop back to non league, but I was surprised when he came back to this level.

No huge names in our signings so far but each one has made sense in terms of what we need. Reasonably happy with business so far.

Bennett has an excellent finish, but can only get a shot away if the opposition defenders are nowhere to be seen which is why I think he looks excellent in Non League but poor in L2

Glad to see Shade has found a league 2 club, could of easily found him self in non-league. We signed him as a winger, but rarely beat his man and only one good cross in 5.

He improved once Flynn was brought in. We went from a 4-2-3-1 to 5-3-2, Shade found himself at LWB. He did alright there but did feel like a square peg in a round hole, but you couldn’t fault his effort.

Still, he’s only 22 and improvement is definitely there. I wish him all the best.
