Even then, getting his wages off the books after the cap has been voted in is typical city. If his replacement was to demand the same 3k p/w it will now count fully towards the cap as opposed to the divisional average it would have done before the vote. There should've been a deadline, some time before the vote, for vaughan and tranmere because as it is, we are now left at a major disadvantage. But this is the exact lack of planning, strategy and nous a lot of our fans are complaining about and rightly so.

No love lost with him and Vale fans, didn't help himself with some over exuberant celebrating last season either.

Came from Vale with awful reviews, a lot of Macc fans seemed to rate him but I just didn't see it. Don't think it helped him that despite how garbage we've been and everything going on, all our recent managers have tried to play out from the back and he didn't look very comfortable to me. Seemed better when just simple defending was needed. You'd be better off taking a risk on Nathan Cameron despite his dodgy injury record than Vassell IMO

I think anyone that comes in will be back up, and we've just given Connor Brown a contract who plays the same role. One of them will be considered more of a right-back though, presumably.

Vassell did fill in a couple of times at right back so has a bit of versatility to him. He's a big strong fairly quick lad to be fair, just didnt really win me over. And he soon fucked off when things got tough, but harsh to hold that against him
