Don’t think he’s played in the league at all yet, he’s fourth choice currently, behind Cook, Maynard and Bowery - considering we’ve sent Knowles on loan to County and sold Rose he’s definitely going to get a chance soon.

Matt Preston first season was excellent on the right side of a back three. Second season he was woeful, he was sent off every other game and his form was horrific. He is very fast and strong and but last season he was a total liability.

Not that bothered about Rose leaving. He's a fans' favourite and while he was decent last year, he was lucky to get another year prior to that. Overall, he has hardly improved at all as a player in his time with us and his form is up, down, and sometimes down for a long time.

Yeah, obviously we were going after Devitt but I think the no fans till March thing fucked that. Just any attacking midfielder is better than Mellish, although I bet a Mellish starts tomorrow.

Conflicted about this. As I said I cannot see him displacing our front 3 anytime soon but he does have that ability to get your backside off your seat.

Think we could have done with him on Saturday against Southend where the turn, dribble and shot may have lifted us out of the doldrums we were in.

was on loan with us in his early Oldham days* - although it's not shown on his record anywhere. Also trained with us last season and played in our Lancashire Senior Cup match against Oldham - which stopped him playing for Bradford until January...

*edit - it was 2005 when he was with Oldham U-18's

Wouldn't surprise me. One of the reasons we get some of the players we do is we make a promise to allow them to leave if not getting game time.

You'll have to tell me what you think about him. Good, bad, indifferent. I could never quite make up my mind. He will definitely score some screamers though.

I think we were on 30 before this new signing but you've got 4 or 5 first year academy graduates in there, 3 bargain bin random as fuck non-league strikers, 4 loanees and Sam Russell who is really GK coach.

Looks like we’ve picked up the thick end of £400k after Macaulay Bonne’s move to QPR. 45 goals and £600k for a £25,000 outlay a couple of years ago. Mustn’t grumble.
