Barnsley have signed Jack Aitchison on a 3 year deal from Celtic and are set to loan him straight out to a league 2 club apparently.

Really hope that club is us, was top drawer on loan here last season.

Looks like we’ve picked up the thick end of £400k after Macaulay Bonne’s move to QPR. 45 goals and £600k for a £25,000 outlay a couple of years ago. Mustn’t grumble.
But yet Martin Ling gets everything wrong apparently..................................................

Yeah, Taylor confirmed. Doesn't look a great signing at all IMO.
Yeh he's dreadful. Legs have gone completely and doesn't really have a position. We only signed him last year as he was a mate of Bowyer's. One of his many terrible signings.

Well I was hoping we were going to get a forward who can play with his back to goal on transfer deadline day. I was also hoping that super models were going to invite me to their private parties.

I can always hope...and those hope are always dashed against the rocks of reality.

For the Barrow lads.

Zouma has pace, power and good enough in the air but he's one of those that switches off at the worst times or gets excited and finds himself on mazy runs and when he inevitably loses the ball, way out of position. Very much like his brother but with loads less talent. Still young though and I'd have had him back because he's one of those that if given regular playing time someone will pay a fair chunk for because of the athleticism.

Chris Taylor though is one of the worst players I've ever seen. Frankly, a disgrace. Shocking signing for anyone at this level or the next three below.

both played the full 90 mins last night. Zouma is young - but he's a monster in the making... strong as an Ox and once he's kicked a player a lot will avoid going into tackles with him again. did a couple of mazy runs yesterday - both of which ended in us getting corners - but i get your point there.
Taylor played ok - lasted the 90 mins well and was positive in possession - he played for us on loan from Oldham back in 2005. Once thing he does do is communicate well with the younger players and we need that as we have a young squad. He scored the winning penalty in the shoot out.

Ahhh, oops.

Does this mean there is still a chance for the super model parties too?
:bravo:

Casey
there's more chance of Masi51 predicting Bolton will get relegated and go bust.... or HelloGregory will tip Carlisle will win the league.

Depends on your definition of "Super Models", but I suspect Legoland Windsor do party bookings...

Crawley have just announced that Fil Morais has agreed to a mutual termination of his contract.

I doubt if we've paid him up as he unilaterally decided to go back north and demanded a move.

More cash off the wage bill ...although we wouldn't have been paying him but we would have had to budget for him just in case he turned back up.

We've signed young West Ham centre Half Olatunji Akinola on a season long loan. We now have four CBs again.

Mitch Clarke has issued a come and get me plea on Twitter after our right back injury crisis... what I would do for Mitch back! Sadly think we are up to quota squad number wise unless we can still tweak it for ones that have yet to feature as think loans count even if under 23 bizarrely.

We’ve seemingly signed someone - leaked blurry photo of a new signing posing with a scarf round his neck for an official photo.

Hard to tell who it is but seems to have markings on their arms and we need a goal scorer so Andy Cook seems to fit the bill.

What are the chances Mansfield fans?

McCall has rubbished the Connor Wood to Gillingham rumour. Came from one of those Twitter accounts with about 5 followers. Obviously, our fans have lost their shit - typical from our lot, really.

Apparently we want £400k plus add-ons. All fine and dandy, except Gillingham don’t pay for players and they haven’t currently got a pot to piss in.

Next.

You've been listening to Evans too much, they managed to find six-figures for John Akinde in January!

To be fair to him, he's done well to put a squad together this season on the smallest budget in the league. Fair play to him...

Cant say I’ve read or listened to anything Evans has said since he was found guilty of getting his cock out, and waving it at one of our female officials at Valley Parade.

I understand that they’ve bought one player in 6 years, according to a Gills fan on Twitter.

Askey as good as confirmed he’s trying to get Mitch back. Would be the perfect move for all parties I feel.

I would be very happy if we do, he is absolute quality and can cover left and right.

Were Grimsby not lecturing the rest of the division about big wage bills during a pandemic not that long ago?

Holloway was angry clubs were not including COVID clauses which covered them in not paying players (or a % of players wages) if lockdown came in and the season was suspended again after we got Theo because we didn't put that clause in our contracts.

Kyle Bennet, despite being a bit lightweight was great for us in L2. Could be a great signing for the Mariners, can play as a winger or a number 10, probably better as a 10.

I wonder who is paying his 4.5 per week ? Probably we are still paying the bigger % -- But anything to get him off the books. One thing he won't ever play for Rovers again. Thanks Olly. Once a Gashead always a Gashead.
