We've confirmed, for I think the fourth time this month, that Kayode will be staying for the remainder of the season.

Rotherham have been making the right noises about this since the window opened and we have reported a few times that Paul Warne is keen for him to stay out on loan. There is of course no such thing as a guarantee that a player won't be recalled during the transfer window, only the word of his parent club, which is why we keep treating everything Paul Warne says as news, but I highly doubt he is going anywhere.
Just watch they’ll recall him on deadline day due to an injury crisis.

Not being happy with Lenell John-Lewis doesn’t mean I’m also happy with what we’ve got.

That defeatist ‘there’s nobody else’ attitude is exactly why we’re in this mess

I didn't say there was nobody else, I said he's better than what we currently have.

Not going to go through the same arguments with you about what he brings to the side as we did when in the conference.

I know what he brought to the side, 6 years ago, in the conference where we failed to get promoted.

Yeah and since then he spent 4 seasons in the FL including a lge 1 play off campaign and we "lucked" (in your words) our way to a play off win and spent every other season avoiding relegation back to the conference

Max Hunt has signed for Yeovil permanently. Promising young defender but wasn’t getting games here.

He splits opinions amongst stags fans ,some love him some decry his fitness or workrate ,me i think its a great move for him and for bradford ,he knows where the goal is and is skilful for such a big fella ,surprised we have let him out on loan tbh,in fact i would sooner send maynard out on loan

I assume this means bad news for top scorer Lee Novak injury wise. Probably out for the rest of the season.

Yeah, he probably wanted the move. Shame cos he fits Beech's profile of signing young players who will improve and when we did call on him this season he did no wrong... he just has four senior centre backs ahead of him in the pecking order.

Fucking hell, Cook and Rowe up front would be the fattest L2 pairing ever.

From what has been reported in our local papers, it was never in Paul Warne's thoughts to bring Kayode back,

He is impressed with his progress at Carlisle and the player has said he is happy there.

He wouldn't get a game here because we only play one up front except when chasing a game late on.
He would have to get past Smith, Ladapo and Hirst to get time on the pitch.

If Hirst had been sent back or recalled, that might have changed things because we let Vassell go to Fleetwood, but it benefits all parties to let him continue to improve at Carlisle.

Let;s hope he comes back with a promotion on his CV.

Cook does not suit Clough style at all, but he’s a good L2 player capable of getting a goal out of nothing. Likely our highest paid player too.

Get the right pairing with him and he’s definitely a potential 20 goal man.

Andy Cook could be a terrific signing for Bradford providing they partner him with somebody with a bit of pace. Don’t be put off by his appearance or demeanour. Can score goals from anywhere in or around the box. His appearances to goals ratio speaks for itself.
Very similar to ex Bradford striker Bobby Campbell if anybody remembers him.

We've been playing one upfront in a 4-2-3-1 since the managerial change and have a trio of technical players rather than flying wingers behind that striker. We've brought in some pace as well but they haven't broke into the team as of yet. Will be interesting to see how he fits in. Certainly seems like good cover for Novak who looks like he'll be injured long term again.

He’s been playing out wide on the right for us mostly.

He is scored 19 for us in a relegated league one side could of been more had he not downed tools when Keates was sacked he was gone after that.

As mentioned the Cook signing suggests Novak’s injury is a long term one given he and Rowe would be starters, solid enough, experienced, a no risk loan, can’t complain.

are you just trying to sign ex-Barrow strikers (Rowe and Cook) - just because you have us this weekend and you know players tend to score against their former clubs?
