We’ve signed striker Paul Smyth, to be announced later today apparently.

Colchester signing Luke Chambers. Experienced centre half, seems a good signing that

What’s the situation in Carlisle? They seem to be losing players from last season? Where they offered new deals?
Yeah, Beech wanted to keep most of the squad together and triggered contract extensions or made offers for everyone except Dean Furman and Cedwyn Scott.

The players we triggered extensions for have no choice but the others have rejected their offers, Rhys Bennett called the offer they made him insulting. We've been going on about how broke we are so I guess this is it.

Yann Songo'o has just announced he's leaving us, day ruined.

Obviously Bradford bound, gutted. Let the exodus commence.
If he's the ball winning midfielder everyone says he is then it'll be a good signing. Partly because we haven't recruited that type of player for about 5 years.

Elliott Nevitt linked with Vale, Crewe and Accrington, scored a hatrick in the FA Vase final for Warrington Rylands.

He is exactly that. Top player in league two.

Steve Beck is an associate director at Tranmere Rovers which probably helps with recruitment a little bit.

Unlikely to sign Luke Hendrie now.

Well that was a fun 16 hours when we thought we might actually be linked to a player

He wins everything, an absolute monster. We've never had a midfielder quite like him in my lifetime.

I can’t deny it, I’m looking forward to your comments throughout the season :bg:

Dan Jones joins us on a 2 year deal. That’s a left back sorted anyway.

Looks a good signing, was excellent for Harrogate against us, one that had leaked out.

Worrall / Conlon on freekicks and corners and Jones with his long throw. Reckon we could have some decent options on set pieces next season.

Looks a plan with the height of the new lads signed so far! So as it stands:

Keeper TBC

James Gibbons
Aaron Martin
Nathan Smith
Dan Jones

Dave Worrall
Tom Conlon
Brad Walker
David Amoo

James Wilson
Devante Rodney

Looks the strongest XI so far with probably another 8-10 to join.

Luke Hendrie is not signing because we can not afford his wages.

We cannot afford the wages of someone released by recently relegated Grimsby.

What a season incoming

Aren’t your season tickets over 400 quid as well? If you can’t afford an average league 2 full back I’m surprised your fans still bother, fair play.

Manny Monthe is available.
Obviously we've been linked. Hard to tell if it's just the kids messing about, but it seems a realistic signing - NW based, played for Cooper before, and we need defenders.

Nobody at Rovers surprised he’s leaving, but one of the things mentioned was he wanted to move back down south. Given that, Barrow would be a surprise

Signed Paul Lewis from Tranmere and Ryan Watson won’t sign a new deal and is off to League 1
