Very much so.
Now is that the same underwhelmed as when Oates signed, lol
Can,t see Timi getting much game time after Tuesday
but unfortunately Killip will,he really does let himself and the team down
at times.

Two really poor signings on the face of it but I like RiftHouseLad constant positive vibe, hope DC can work his magic on them.

What is beyond any realm of understanding is they sign all these forwards but wouldn't offer decent deals to the likes of Oates/Bennett etc. You'd think these extra signings wages would equal one or even two strikers with a better track record. But no this is Pools after all

Timi is one of the most frustrating players around, got most of the attributes to have a good career but has trouble seeing what's in front of him. Huge confidence player and he ain't playing with any at the minute.

We've signed some strikers, Mike Fondop ex everyone by the looks of it and Jordan Cook , last seen at Gateshead.
Jordan Cook is a really weird signing, I’d just presumed he’d not play in the league again. He’s actually pretty decent, the very definition of ‘he’ll do a job’. The problem with Cook is that absolutely nobody knows his best position, even he probably doesn’t know. There’s clearly talent there and he’s well thought of here.

Maybe the deals were result/goal based, For sure they were offered more dosh.
Don,t blame Bennet.
But Oates, He was a big fish in our squad and i,m certain DC would have based
Our tactics around him.
But now he,s a little fish among a couple of better forwards.
Doubt he,ll ever be the main man at Mansfield.

Timi was immense in the playoff final and i agree he has what it takes.
But the way he dealt with the goalscorer for Sutton was poor to say the least.
But Killip had every oppertunity to pull him out of the shit, And he also failed.
Hope Killip makes me eat my words.

James Perch out for the season with a fractured skull - going to be a long slog to January. Really feel for him to he may never play again realistically.

Anybody aware of any half decent free agent CBs?

Was N'Gala the guy Eastleigh signed for a reported £100k from Barnet when they were managed by Martin Allen, only for Martin Allen to rock up weeks later at Eastleigh and then released him?

We're just taking punts on players and hope one or two come good. Weve now got a massive squad which on paper totally varies in quality. Hopefully most of these signings are on short term deals and can be scattered if they don't work out.

Just seen Hartlepool have signed Jordan Cook, good signing in my opinions will run through brick walls for you.
Also once scored a cracking free kick at Salford which the referee gave, before then remembering it was Salford and they get to play by different rules so then disallowed it for fuck all.

Nartey is out for 6-8 weeks now too. We are one injury away from playing a striker at CB.

I forgot to mention ex Cobbler, ex Bradford, ex Swindon and a few others player Mark Marshall has signed for Crawley on a rolling monthly contract.

I presume we don't have enough money in the budget to sign him properly as he certainly looks good enough for league 2. Put a couple of good crosses in v Bradford on Saturday after coming on around the 70 minute mark.

We've sold Ollie Crankshaw to Stockport.

We had 2 fit wingers including him with 5 forwards out injured. Now we're down to the useless Alex Gilliead and nobody else.

We are an absolute joke.

Crankshaw comes on, looks decent and provides an assist.

Interviewer: Thought Olly Crankshaw came on and did well.

Adams: Did you? Good for you. I didn't.

Bye Cranky :(

Kicking off online because we’ve turned to sh*t this last month and it’s something else to moan about, not the fact Crankshaw was a not good enough bench warmer who (when everyone’s back fit) won’t really be missed.

Shit tonne of injuries with little to no squad depth to cope due to poor recruitment (again).

CEO and manager far from on the same page despite what they say publicly. CEO has a philosophy that includes a recruitment director and blooding the youth. Adams has had the former kicked out and wants the youngsters shipped out on loan.

Not arsed about crankshaw specifically. I agree he wasn't good enough, albeit has contributed more than Gilliead and Evans. But when you've got as many injuries as we have, you can't afford to let players leave outside a transfer window when you can't replace them. Amateurish behaviour and we've seen it all before.

Don’t really see the issue here. Quite evident Adams didn’t rate him. After all, I trust his judgement given he’s worked with the player for the past few months.

Prior to Stockport putting in a decent offer, he would’ve continued to warm the bench. It wasn’t as if it was transfer listed, was it? Meanwhile, the player has been offered very good terms, the club is financially better off and Abo Eisa/Lee Angol are returning from injury quicker than initially first thought. Charles Vernam is also back fit, and is expected to start this weekend.

Our fans seriously need to chill out. Suggesting he was the next best thing when he couldn’t even get past United’s 18 year-old full-back last week.

Move on.

Truthfully?

Injuries and poor luck/quality infront of goal - mixed with a shocking performance or two.

Need bodies back, and we desperately need some adequate support for Cook.

Since the season began, we’ve had lengthy injuries to the following: Threlkeld, Sutton, Songo’o, Watt, Eisa, Angol, Vernam, Lavery and Canavan (latter five players still out injured).

Hopefully, we replicate what Bolton did last season. I’m not overly concerned at the minute. Nothing is won in Sept.

We’re all hoping to be this season’s Bolton!

It looks a right mish mash of a league, though, doesn’t it.

Where's the money coming from to do what Bolton did last January?

Their playing budget wasn’t much higher than ours, last season.

I can’t recall a winter transfer window where Rupp hasn’t backed the manager? I’m not sure why anyone would think this wouldn’t be the case this time round?

I think that's being generous to Rupp. The Januarys under Bowyer and Hopkin were a disgrace. Players like Guthrie, DMH, Clarke, Anderson etc were signed for example.

You may be right, and I hope you are, but personally the idea of us 'doing a Bolton' is fanciful without further investment.

you've got to give Theo a chance to get up to speed, don't write your season off yet.

Team photo on the pitch this afternoon and he’s not there, wouldn’t surprise me if he’s gone already at this rate!
