Do we even bother posting rumours from that EFL hub Twitter page?

They’ve been linking us with every Tom, Dick and Patrick Amond over the last few days.

Some ridiculous rumours flying around with us so far, though coming from people who are usually 'in the know'.

Apparently Scott Hogan is a rumour but I think I will show my arse on the town hall steps if that happens.
Like you say it’s coming from decent sources so you never know.

Take every tweet from an 'EFL' twitter account with a pinch of salt. Even the ones with a blue tick....

No, all they do is take stuff off various team forums. Countless times someone has suggested a player on OVF and suddenly EFL Hub etc tweet that Vale are “in talks” with them.

Rumours strengthening we are signing Richard Odonnell Bradford fans whats he like these days? Was good for us last time but that was 7 years ago now.

Appears to be Rochdale bound.

Looks better in a calendar than on the pitch.

He’s an okay shot stopper, but fails to come for crosses and has poor distribution.

Could probably do better or worse, he’s bought a house near Rotherham thought somewhere like Chesterfield would be better suited to him and more his level tbh.
Just been mentioned on our forum.
I was quite impressed with Rochdale.
They knock it around well (I believe they made the 2nd most passes per game this season) and I think they will be up there next season.
Your lot weren't bad, either, to be fair - and the Gas fans I shared a pub with after the game were decent company.

Lovely bloke is OD, but his ability as a goalkeeper has declined in the last few seasons. Like Wilsden said he's a solid shot stopper but his box gets bombarded more than Katie Price's on a Saturday night and he'll panic. Wish him well wherever he goes.

2nd half was more like it, I'm not sure what happened in the first half.
Luke Charman was a bit of a shithouse crawling back onto the pitch so play wouldn't go on without him :lac::bg:. Seemed to whine to the ref a lot. Good finish for the first though, maybe he will kick on now?

Same here. We beat them twice but probably lucky both times. I was surprised to see them mired in the lower reaches.

We beat them twice too; 4-2 at home and 4-3 away. Gas went behind in both games and scored late goals in both games.
Dale the only side to score 3 past us this year.

Kieron Morris signed a two year extension with us yesterday, and we have the option of an additional year.

A brilliant bit of business as he has been our best player for several seasons now, and most of us were convinced he was League One bound.

Just picking out the good bits, eh.
Im purposely forgetting a lot of things before 2022 started. We gave most teams a massive headstart and still only finished 4 points behind the Champs.
Any half decent start to the season and we'd have had the silverware ourselves.

We can all say that. One extra win by us and we’d have finished 3rd. If Mansfield hadn’t had an even worse start than you, they’d be champions.

If my aunt had bollocks . . .

FGR striker Jake Young rumoured to be signing for us.

If any FGR fans still lurking on here before you join the league 1 forum, what's he like?

All I know about him is he had a spell with our local non league club Guiseley and was born in Huddersfield

We’ve absolutely no chance in signing Jake Young. Rumour started by that 11-year old City fan on twitter. Happy to be proven wrong, though.

Edit: for some reason I thought he was still under contract and highly rated at FGR.

In other news; Matty Foulds has signed on for another 2 years. Adequate back-up at LB.

Photo going round on twitter of him doing his press interviews so looks like it's a done deal.

Edwards didn't seem to think too much of Young as he rarely used him, when he'd been an effective impact sub pretty often previously, carries the ball well and runs at defences. Thought he might have been given a chance with RE gone but maybe thinking is L1 a step too soon.

If indeed he does sign for us, I would expect him to be cover for the injury prone Lee Angol, they sound similar in style

Yep - seems done deal. Young lad who looks to be a capable player, signed from a team who has just won the league. We can do a lot worse.

Aye seen the picture now, someone will get their wrist slapped for the leak haha. Must be the youngest striker we’ve brought in on a permanent in year, pun wasn’t intentional just unavoidable!

Lavery is awful dunno why you ever signed him he was crap here.
He is so bad that we had him on trial in the summer and didn't offer him anything even though we didn't have a single forward on the books at the time.
