we are under a embargo...and a £1.5m cap. I am not naive enough to know we have proberbly gone over that because we signed three of our highest earners pre the cap.
I would say Tranmere,Salford and Mansfield will have certainly spent more.
The chairperson you mentioned has been like a breath of fresh air since taking over. She is a very clever business woman as are the others involved at the top.
They are using the moneyball business principle.
Yes covid will hit us harder than most, but the is only one way this club is going now....up
Moneyball?signing Doyle for 4 years on a large wage with no residual value isn’t moneyball. Suicide more like. Ditto Sarcevic.

It is the intention.

We are only about 2 months into it. It's players like Hickman and Gordon that are the targets of that, players like Doyle and Sarce were signed with the intention of getting us going and up quickly... Which is going swimmingly so far.

Why should Grimsby,Exeter get the same amount as Bradford,Bolton The payout is for lost fans. In all due respect it should go off last seasons average home attendance.
The payout is for keeping the clubs going, principally paying the wages of staff and players, which should be roughly the same throughout all clubs.

Loss of income from whatever source. As you’ve sold so many STs you should get fuck all.

Gareth Evans (re)signs on a two year deal after five seasons at Portsmouth, certainly improves us and can play all over though not necessarily one of the priority positions that needed filling.

Fairly happy with this one.

Beat Bolton to his signature. Wigan also wanted him, but Pompey refused to let him go to another L1 club.

A good character and leader which we need. No idea where he fits in on the pitch however.

I suppose Bolton may not be too fussed about missing out on his signature as he isn't coming from the talent pools that are Barnet and Dagenham and Redbridge.

We’ve signed James Morton on loan from Bristol City, on loan at FGR last year?

Not that we’re likely to play a game any time soon

Not missing it but the cost of the players and staff for league 2 clubs is set at £1.5 million. Why would they give us more?

I will add I have no idea what, if anything, we will be granted to receive from the Premier league clubs but Im sure whatever it is will come with strings!

Isgrove, on his day, is excellent. Real good signing for Bolton. Bit injury prone, though.

Isgrove is a great signing for Bolton to be fair. Started off last season brilliantly and faded a bit second half. Should link up well with Doyle.

We have signed Leeds youngster Bryce Hosannah on a season long loan. A promising right wing back apparently. I presume this is the right back McCall has been chasing all summer. At last a right back in the building

Never heard of him until this morning, but he sounds very promising - L**ds lot rate him highly.

Unfortunate for Tyler French, who has started the season fantastically.

Believe we may sign Ashley Nathaniel-George from Crawley this week. Any good Casey ?

Seen on twitter he seems rated by your fans but not given enough game time?

I dont think Ashley Nathaniel-George is a starter but he certainly has something about him. He does best when coming of the bench at 60-70 minutes. I honestly can't see him getting in the team ahead of Nadesan, Frost or Nichols and Allarakhia started v Oldham and created 3 chances with an 85% pass completion.

He's a winger. Sometimes great, other times not. Small of stature and not a flying type winger..

Best way to describe him is mostly anonymous then scores a screamer, or creates a great chance. I would try to hold onto him because he is capable of producing great moments but I can't see him playing many games from the start for us.
