Four today.
Jake Hastie,2 more jocks & a lad released from Notts Co.
Bit underwhelmed to be honest.

Hastie has been following and liking Pools stuff on Twitter for a few days now, who is the Notts player? I hope it's not that big melon Elisha Sam who recently ripped his contract up.

Raikhy did look a good player, I think he'll have a good career too. He was never poor for us or anything. But like most his age, particularly middle of the park tbf, he drifted in and out too much to dictate or enforce a game.

He could absolutely ping a pearler of a pass but then do nothing for 20 minutes. I still remember his lovely cushioned pass for Crankshaw for the 5-3 goal in the win over Bolton.

You reckon you'll go for him to see if he can step up to League Two? Seems a natural step.
Raikhy's best match for us was Notts away in the league from what I saw of him and he absolutely bossed the middle of the park. Pressing them and crunching tackles all match. If he can do that more consistently in addition to what he naturally brings to the table then yeah I agree with you and Lew that he'll go onto have a good career.

No idea if we'll go back in for him, Hurst holds his cards very close to his chest. He definitely rates him though, as he was straight back into the matchday squad for the Wrexham semi as soon as he was fit again, sacrificing Giles Coke who you'd have thought would have carried a bit of sway in a match like that due to experience alone. He brought him on in that and in the final too.

We're apparently signing 20 year old left back Reece Devine after his release from Man United. Played 8 games on loan at Walsall last season. (there is a pattern emerging here!) He also played for St Johnstone in the Europa League at Galatasaray so he'll be used to the raucous atmosphere of the County Ground!

Rochdale "they haven't learnt" in the mud. Amazing how many fans of other clubs seem to know more about our finances and owner than we do; hopefully that price of football twitter account tweets this as he was having a right little doomsday party combing through our accounts the other month.

I don't see a situation where even the mardiest fan could begin to even have a snipe at him never mind be abusive.

DC will be gone in the next 1-3 years IMO. He's destined for bigger things. Managers, players come and go. The stability of the owner is most important really.
I mean there is already one prominent fan who still believes we're being groomed to be Man City B when (read never) B teams are allowed in the league. I know every fanbase has them, but that is some real tinfoil hat stuff.

Our highly rated assistant was apparently headed to Swansea but has opted to stay at the Cobblers.

Good early business, a lot of continuity, this is all a bit bizarre…

Ryan Taylor has signed a new deal, just a year for him. We’re gradually getting most back in from last year, be nice to get a new face in though and I’d be slightly disappointed if Taylor was our starting striker at Orient.

I don't think he'll feature as heavily as he did last season, but for me he's currently one of our most important players purely due to how well he links with McAtee. Can't see those two having problems slicing defences open at this level. I'd happily see him start the opening match.

We've signed Tyrese Shade, 22 year old forward player released from Leicester. Walsall fans you had him on loan last season, what can we expect?
You should be very optimistic about this signing in my opinion. I will be interested to see what position he will play and how he fits into your system, especially with how attacking and dynamic you looked against us last season. I think he will thrive with the fluidity and pace in which you move the ball.

He came to us as a winger from Leicester but surprisingly played his best football as a left wing back. Flynn tried him there when we played Forest Green away and he did a job on Kane Wilson and nullified him completely; it was considered a masterstroke by Flynn at the time but Shade has many defensive capabilities to compliment his attacking prowess, which he didn't display anywhere near as frequently as we would have hoped.

With it being his first full season in the football league, his lack of experience was clear to see at the start of the season but once Flynn arrived, he looked much better and will benefit you moving forward. He is still incredibly raw but undoubtedly has a lot of attributes and abilities that could see him go far in the game. Shadey appeared to be very much a confidence player so he will need to be nurtured in the right way to get the best out of him.

I was disappointed that Walsall didn't sign him but I would imagine that there wasn't really a suitable place for him in the team with the formation that Flynn plays unfortunately.

Thanks for the honest feedback Wallsall9, always pleasing to read positive stuff from fans that saw a lot of him last season.

I’m shocked at the odds bookies are giving you

Im usually pretty pessimistic about our chances but from early signs i agree. We are 6/5 to finish top 7. Not a betting man any more but retained the majority of our squad last season and seems like we are making proven signings so far.

On twitter that we've agreed a deal with Peterborough midfielder Serhat Tasdemir
Played on loan for us last season, hardly played and when he did he was terrible. Would go missing for weeks, Dean Brennan constantly in interviews saying we dont kjnow where he is. Overweight and I believe uninterested in football. Thought he'd end up in the NLN let alone get another league move

The rumour came from one of those Twitter pages ran by spotty teenagers in their mam's box bedroom, we only sign players that Sestonpoolie has okayed!

Raikhy definitely had something about him, really sharp in that first yard & a good eye for playing the ball, if he bulks out a bit he'll go on to be a good player. Just a shame his time with us was during Ruskball, where he seemed to be one of those that got frozen out (what great culture)

I like the way your twitter guy has confirmed the news....

'Swindon Town have completed the signing of former Manchester United ace Reece Devine'...

Ace...he never played for them!

6/5 seems like a licence to print money in all honesty.

Will keep an eye on your remaining signings but so far yourselves and Bradford are sticking out in the division for me.

Reece Devine getting terrible reviews. Hopefully it's a case of not working out at Walsall and he isn't just shit.

Reminds me a bit of when we signed Brandon Ormonde Ottewill who was a former Arsenal 'ace'. Same position as well.

We have 5 on trial right now. One is Kgosi Nthle.

He has already played for us a few years ago, thought he was okay then but injured too much.

Was he solid for Barrow?

Probably played about six games in two seasons due to injury. Didn't stand out by any stretch.

Yeah, we're stacked in midfield but if I was Grimsby I'd ask Villa for him again. He'll only improve. He had the basic skills to be a very good midfield player, just needs that match readiness and consistent games for his learning. We couldn't give it him and definitley can't next season.

This one sounds very much a 'punt' to me. 20 year old who has had a couple of ropey loan spells doesn't really inspire much but clearly Lindsey can see something he can work on over the next 2 years. I wonder if this means Ellis will be going into midfield now we have Devine and Shade.

It's funny when we beat Walsall 3-0 in the last game of the season Devine was LB and Shade LW and we absolutely ripped them apart in the first half, now we've signed both of them! Eek!

I believe he made his debut for Walsall at The Mem.
He looked like a deer caught in headlights, either that or he was wondering where it went wrong going from Old Trafford to Horfield

He was like that when we played them at the Bescot last game of the season.

Kgosi Nthle - i'd say he never let us doen when he played - always put 100% effort in - was just injured too much. Actually played 22 league games 1st season - but only 5 last season - 4 of which were in the 1st 5 games - I think he got injured in that 5th game which limited his appearances after that.

Cheers lads. Exactly the same with us previously really, solid not spectacular when he plays but injured way too much
