Corey Addai signs for Crawley. Goalkeeper that I know nothing about...except he is 2.03 metres tall (whatever) and is a Jamaican international from Hackney.

We needed a other keeper. Morris has been outstanding for us over the last couple of seasons so no easy job for Addai to oust him.

Odimayo is a much better CB than RB.
Thats interesting, because his Aerial stats aren't great, and with Sherring in we'd have 5 centre backs and no fit right backs if thats the case, but I guess 5 at the back could be an option, much as I wouldnt rate itm

What ive heard is we are apparently signing that Oli Shaw for around 100k, Leigh Griffiths, Niall Canavan and Callum Cooke. Had a bid accepted for Andy Cook but personal terms are an issue at the minute

This didn't come from Sestonpoolie so the truth is we probably only begged Luke James to come back for the 14th time and he said no.

Genuine question… If true, do u expect would be any backlash to the Griffiths signing? Seem to remember some sort of controversy around him recently? Noncey behaviour.

Involved in sectarian stuff with fans, sending flirty messages to a girl who turned about to be 15 and a big fan of the nose candy if rumours are to be believed.

On the pitch it would either be a masterstroke signing for this level or a catastrophe, I'd lean on the latter.

Stocky adjusting his budget spreadsheet as we speak.

Don,t think he would be a good fit, But who knows.

Shaw on the other hand.

Killie fans concerned about Shaw departing.

Always came across as a bit of a helmet, can see it being a disaster, according to his Wikipedia he got 2 goals in the Scottish third division last season against the likes of the Scottish dog and duck.

i think the Scotish 2nd division is dog and duck - but i'm not sure what that makes the 3rd?

Hartley in his interview with Tees said Oli Shaw is not on his list, he’s wanting four players for the top end of the pitch, hoping for more signings this week.

Yeah he was quality when he was on it, which was for a good while at Mansfield.

We had lots of slower strikers around that time and they weren't that bad. Barry Conlon, Martin Gritton and Danny Reet I remember being decent. Nothing special but certainly not the worst. Danny Reet was my favourite. I saw him once in Sheffield and I told him about how good I thought he was in 2006. His wife/GF must have thought I was a bit bizarre as he was playing probably the equivalent of Sunday League football by this point. He was good though when he played up front with Ritchie Barker.

Noncing and sectarian baiting aren't the most noble qualities you'd be looking for in a player. I hope they weren't the search filters in the head of recruitment's shortlist.

We were probably interested in Shaw, until £100 grand fee was mentioned.
People getting giddy over this rumour, what a laugh.
Cooke & Caravan were the only ones I've been told & that's even gone quiet now.
But we're hopeful of some new signings by the end of the week....again.
Sick of bloody hearing that now.

Said wanted a few in by the weekend just gone haha before announcing a Scottish back up full back and cancelling a pre season game due to the fact we’ve got no one to play in it. Getting well pissed off with it all now.

Danny Reet, that's a name I'd forgotten.

Does Gritton ever do radio co-comms for you? Does it for us every so often and he's excellent. Clocked in a decent amount appearances for the East Midlands/Lincolnshire L2 lot in his career.

Never realised you had Barry Conlon either.

The mention of Martin Gritton and Barry Conlon is sending shivers down my spine, they were probably some of the worst strikers we've had play for us, though we did have them in their twilight era of their careers.

I think it's a good purchase. He was third or fourth choice centre back for League 1 clubs, I don't think its a coup or a statement signing per se, but someone with decent potential we could develop, much like Horsfall. Also don't think the defence is finished yet, lot of depth at left back and centre back, but only have fit right back in the squad who plays better at centreback. Will definitely have one more at that side to come in.

I would be surprised if we go for cover at RB. Yes it would be ideal but think we could easily see a back 3/5 at the beginning of the season instead. Having extra cover would be great but no longer priority now IMO.

Played 14 times between January and April for Cambridge before having his loan cut short, Bonner wanted him back. Good enough for me.

I think the thing I’m happiest with is the continuity.

The first game of the season we could have 6 or 7 players who finished the season with us starting again. Same manager, coaching staff. Don’t think I’ve seen a summer at Sixfields with so much continuity.

Adding to an already pretty good team rather than ripping it up and starting again.
I think you'll make the top three next season. After watching him in the play off's I would love for Rovers to have signed Mcwilliams.

I'm hoping this means that we've got Michael Morrison all but through the door BUT it's equally possible that you've offered more than we can justify for a 3rd/4th choice CB with a transfer fee.

He'll do well for you and has the potential to develop significantly with experience and good coaching. He's surprisingly good in the air - dominant rather than just adequate. But he had a few mistakes in him as well last season that should fall out of his game with time.
