Yeah I saw that. Hope he can stay fit and get back on track, I quite liked him when he wasn't crocked. That last season he had with you (his peak) is a long time ago now though.

I wouldn’t label Andy Cook “marquee”. Furthermore, any ‘substantial bids’ would be accepted, I imagine.

With this being said, I do think Cook will have a decent season. He’s trimmed right down and actually looks like a professional footballer.

He seems to have pretty good reviews from both of his loan spells so far, he was apparently off to Derby earlier in the week so not sure what's happened there.

If you can get a loan from Brighton your on a winner. They have got an abundance of talent coming through their system we had Ben White a few years ago who was far too good for this league also we played them last year in the carabo they played mostly acadamy players that night and beat us quite easily.

That would be a great signing for you guys, you can somewhat ignore his goal tally for last season as he was largely feeding off scraps on his own as we never found a competent striker to play along side him. He still managed 11 goals though so not bad at all considering how inept we were for half the season. The season before he hit 20 odd having more creative players to work off and that, of course, was in the league above. I’d expect him to better that tally in this league with some decent players around him.

Like I say it would be a great signing.

He was with us for the back half of the 20/21 season. If memory serves me right he was out injured for a period of time but when he was on the pitch looked pretty decent. Got a bit of pace about him and some clever movement too. He'd have probably scored more for us if he wasn't lumbered with a pair of traffic cones like Kurtis Guthrie or Theo Robinson alongside him.

No idea mate, slept since then.

No point trying to compete with the money being thrown around with Northampton, Stockport etc anyway. Clough did mention a ‘small fee’ may be involved in a forward player we are trying to sign mind.

After Swan, we will probably sign Harbottle from Forest on loan too, then we need another GK plus the forward I’ve mentioned. Danny Johnson may be leaving soon too.

No. All the stand out players for us from 2021-22 were guys we already had from the season before. The difference was the new manager probably, who was something of an unknown when he joined.
