We’ve signed Hakeeb Adelakun on a season long loan from Lincoln.
Thank God for that, been terrible here for the vast, vast majority. This is a guy who decided to leave the pitch to have a drink whilst the opposition were in possession over the other side of the pitch and his man subsequently scored.

Saw a lack of work rate, lack of end product and too many step-overs here. A dud of a signing so far and one we needed gone despite making two appearances this season. Did well at L2 level at Scunny, though, so might be a chance he turns it around. We've seen with Archibald at Orient that a drop down a level can help rediscover some form. Suspect he's not out of contract until 2024.

Makes sense as well because we brought in a winger from Swansea at the back end of last week.

Blimey, doesn’t sound like what we need after our grubbing at Tranmere last Saturday.

Hes a frustrating player. Saw glimpses of what he could do, but just not consistant at all. A shame its not worked out, but time for him to move on for a fresh start.

He’s got two years left on his contract hasn’t he?

We don't like giving out contract lengths when making signings. They are always quoted as long term deal or something along those lines. He signed last summer so your guess is as good as mine. Either 1 year or 2 years left.

I see, generally we do the same, if he does well here it’ll be an option to sell him in January then or if he has another year sell him next summer?

Doesn’t fit in to the system you play is something that I’ve read?

Adelakun always impressed when playing against us for Scunny
Also tore us a new one last year in the cup for Lincoln. Then again, I think he was up against Threlkeld or FCD so doesn't say much.

I think it was his best game of last season against you, those performances were very, very few and far between.

Do you think that’s because he was good, or because scunny were so shit, it made him look good

He genuinely looked a good player and I would have been happy to take him if there had been a chance of that. I obviously didn't see him week in week out, so cannot comment on his attitude overall

Hartley read about him on the BBC the other day and thought yeah he's got a ton of medical issues but he once played in the SPL so he'll tear it up here

Yet another Scottish footballer that is absolutely class at Hibs but very ordinary everywhere else. You don't get a move to Celtic if you are a 'huddy'. I'd be very surprised to see him in League 2.

Just had a quick look on Wiki - this doesn't sound very promising;

"During the early part of the 2020–21 season Allan was unable to play or train due to an unspecified medical issue. He resumed training in early December, although manager Jack Ross would not put a timescale on Allan playing in a match. On 23 January, Allan made his first appearance for Hibs after five months out of the team. Allan later said that he had been diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a heart condition that caused tiredness and shortage of breath."

Think he's also got diabetes as well.

Definitely a risk free safe signing option this.

Hakeeb needs to be away from his mates (Like Malik Wilks)and concentrate on his football. he's got the talent but needs to screw his head down and work, going to Bristol City was a good idea but they chew up and spit out loads of players anyway. and maybe not Championship Standard.

Duncan Idehen on loan from Bristol City.

Provides much needed defensive cover given we’re down to the bare bones and youth team.

I know he was at Grimsby for a bit. Any good Grimsby fans?
When we got relegated he was way out of his depth. Might’ve improved 2 years later though. Bristol City loanees tend to be a mixed bag as we’ve had loads over the past couple seasons!

Strange one, we let him go obviously believing he was not going to make it (and our youth system is pretty good having sold to Middlesbrough and Leicester in the last couple of years and having one or two coming into the first team squad (and one a current regular in the first team). Then he turned up at Bristol out of the blue.

As PH said, he will have needed to significantly improved to be able to preform well at this level, although that is of course possible.

Yeah tough to say, he was in the relegation squad wasn't he? I thought he looked strong enough to win the ball but lacked a lot of the positional/intelligence/awareness attributes a good CB needs. But we barely saw him to be fair. I was surprised he got a move to the Championship off the back of what we saw, but Bristol City might have improved him.

Re-signed Josh Eppiah on a season long loan from Leicester. A lot of very happy Cobblers fans tonight.

Owners saying we may be getting more players in.

Think we need to offload a few before that.

No sooner had I posted than we have incoming.

David Robson,. 21yr old keeper on loan from Hull until January. May mean our Brentford loanee keeper's (Balcombe) injury may be worse than first thought.

David Bremang joins from Barnsley for an undisclosed fee (2 years) .22 years old, 5"11 powerful forward (it says here). Never heard of him before today so no comment but we do lack a back to goal striker in our squad of 300.
