How many tickets will you allocate ?
Just over 1,700.

It's a decent view, but if you've never been before, it's about five miles away from the city centre and railway station and there are no pubs anywhere near the ground for away fans, and most find it a shit away day.

Sorry to be pedantic, but the Bolton figure is the number of tickets sold in advance, not necessarily the number who attended.

GMP are cacking themselves ahead of the weekend so 3924 is our lot for Saturday. A pisstake really, but it is what it is, think the club are trying to beamback it at the DW for other fans, but I'd be surprised if they manage it at such short notice.

Totally agree it should be challenged by both clubs
Manchester City and United are in the same police force....imagine saying that the most away supporters is allowed is 4k
The would be uproar

I think both Man City and United only allow 3000 anyway for league games
City 4500 in cups.

Just don't understand it, Bolton's away end holds about another thousand, but they insist upon a huge segregated section taking up around two full blocks of seats. Neither set of supporters will have the balls to try and charge any segregation, they'll just stand behind the police line and goad from a distance like they all do. It's embarrassing that GMP see themselves incapable of handing this.

Bolton lose out on ticket money, we lose out on satisfying demand. Both clubs should be complaining.

With all due respect when we played you in the cup last month you give us 3.2k which sold out in a day then a further 800 which sold out in 10 mins.........we could/would have sold your entire away end out yet you never give us anymore tickets........must have been under instruction from the police

You had 4662 fans actually and as you can see about half a mini block sectioned off, so I'd say around 300-350 empty seats. You lot in comparison will be sectioning off two full blocks and probably part of another, so around 1000 empty seats. Sense makes none.

1300 sold for Lincoln on Saturday.

Might buy a programme on Tuesday night and see if I can get our missing ones from that, we definitely used to publish them.

Man Utd are the only Club, I think, who don't have to adhere to the 10% rule because of the size of Old Trafford. They got special dispensation years and years ago.

I think the rule in the league regarding away allocations is a minimum of 10 % of capacity up to a maximum of 3000. i.e. Man United only have to give 3000 away tickets in their 75,000 or so capacity ground, and not 7500, But a club with a ground holding 5,000 could legitimately allocate only 500 away tickets. Of course home teams only keep to the 10% if home demand is there, They are entitled to increase the away allocation if away demand is there, (police permitting). Similarly they cam give less than 10% if the away team agrees and give the remainder to home fans, That used to happen when Bolton played a few of the lesser supported teams in the premiership like Fulham or Charlton who would not bring 3000, Most of the away end was given to home fans, When attendances dropped after a few years in the premiership the away allocation also went up from 2800 (10% of capacity) to 5000, the whole stand. Of course practicalities come into like if a ground held 30000 and say a top tier held 2900 they would just get that amount and not give a further 100 fans tickets in another stand,. Cup is different as I can remember some massive away followings in the cups.

The EPL rule was (not sure if covid has had any effect) 3000 away ticket allowance at grounds with over 30,000 capacity.
Or 10%, for those with a capacity lower than 30,000.
That is the minimum, but home teams can allow more away supporters if it's to their benefit i.e. they can't normally sell out all the home seats.
