I see a lot of Burton and Scunny on that page.......

I've berated Burton throughout the season for their shoddy work and I hope they go up so I don't have to deal with them anymore, but Scunthorpe have seemingly just given up counting the away fans halfway through the season. They're a pair of shithouses who should be dissolved, their stadiums burnt to ashes and the ashes fired into the sun.

In fairness last season you were gunning for the play offs and it was your first visit here for a decade so was always going to be a lot less than last year. Around 1,000 would be decent enough considering your current predicament.

Commitment to the cause, I like it. If you could chuck a brick through the club shop window with a note tied to it saying "much love, Jamo from 1FF" I'd be eternally grateful.

I'd really like to know Burton's reason for refusing to publish the figures, but as they didn't answer my very politely worded email, they won't even tell us why they won't tell us.
I spoke to a steward at one game, who knew of no reason why either. He explained in detail the FL rules that demand that every club knows exactly how many people there are in every individual area of the ground at any given time, so all of the figures are clearly available. Some away clubs seem to get their figures, but others seem to have as much problem as we do. Strange. Two or three years ago, someone on the forerunner of this site actually went to all the trouble of using a FOI request to Staffs Police, which did actually work, but seems a bit overkill!
Is it just down to one power mad person who likes to think that he knows something that no-one else knows?

There may be vanity reasons to disguise how small the home crowd figures are or it may have a commercial explanation (sponsorship/Advertising money). One of the bad changes made to football was when they stopped splitting the gate money with visiting clubs. I would like to see the FA or Football League make the clubs release these figures as part of the rules of the competition. The attendance figure should also detailed the number who actually attend rather than count unused season tickets etc.

Not too many for what is a derby of sorts I imagine.

Donny brought 1,421. It is a derby (as I suppose our game is in that we're barely 30 miles apart) but there's no ill feeling really, some light hearted jabs at them having wheels on their house and us shagging our sisters but other than that . . .
