I'm sure it won't. They'll be plenty who will take around or higher than that figure.

Gutted we play you on a Tues night.

Can't think of many that will bring more.

Probably will:

Millwall
Sheffield United
Gillingham
Southend
Swindon

Possibly will:

Bristol Rovers
Coventry
Oxford
Port Vale
AFC Wimbledon

Think it'll probably be somewhere in the top ten.

So, virtually 45% of the league will bring something near to or more than what Northampton took today.

I rest my case.

I said it would probably be one of the highest, you're mentioning clubs bringing 'near to' what Northampton brought i.e less.

If only 6 or 7 of those clubs bring more, then out of 23 clubs - it's one of the highest.

It's not far, it's a summer day out in London to a ground they've not played at for donkeys years and they've just got promoted.

I would have thought Northampton would have taken more than that personally.

378 Swindon at Chesterfield by the way (according to a post on our messageboard anyway).

No, I'm not. I'm mentioning clubs who could potentially bring more than Northampton.

Gillingham
Bolton
Millwall
Peterborough
Swindon
Oxford
Sheff Utd
Cov
Bristol Rovers
AFC Wimledon
And Southend

all have the potential to bring more than what Northampton have fetched, as it wasn't all that impressive, tbh.

I'm sure we'd manage a fair few aswell if we weren't playing you on a Tuesday night.

WHY are you so bothered about an off the cuff comment? Does it offend you in some way? Who honestly gives a shit if 6 teams might bring more to Charlton than Northampton? Good effort for them and I'm sure they had a good day out.

Yes, they all have the potential to do so which I have already said but I doubt ALL of them will. I have no doubt you would bring a similar amount on a Saturday afternoon but it's a Tuesday night, the reason I left Bradford out. Man united would bring more too but they're two leagues above.

Edit: Bolton won't, they barely managed to bring that in the Premier League days.

Near on 1,300 is good for league one in my opinion and I think it'll be one of the highest at The Valley this season, I might be wrong but who really cares?

Jeez, what is it with Yorkshiremen being obsessed with away attendances and taking offence when someone else's gets praise. Sheff Weds and Leeds in particular are obsessed in The Championship and seems it's Bradford down here.

GFC4EVA you will be given the whole end I'm sure. Around 3,200ish.

Listen, go away you little pleb.

It's an away attendance thread to discuss anything attendance related - and guess what, I'm doing exactly that. If it came from anybody else, you wouldn't have batted and eye-lid, but because it's Firthy, you feel obliged to point score by using my wind-up antics from yesteryear to present debate.

Mods, can we not bad him for consistently posting off-topic shite?

Back on topic, they'll be plenty of clubs taking decent followings to The Valley this season. That, essentially, was my point.

Quite an odd post that. Your the only one who seems completely obsessed with attendances as if they enhance your life in some way.

Odd post, in what respect?

You're talking absolute tosh, and you're living in the past.

I certainly did.

Thought it wasn't a bad turnout and quite vocal, but I'll be gutted if 6 teams take more than us to the Valley this year.

Wow it's not like AFC Wimbledon fans to hold a grudge
Didn't Wimbledon's grudge come from your spineless mob attacking a small group of their fans on the way back to the station a few years back? Exactly the same happened to a few Donny fans at yours as well resulting in your chav firm coming unstuck in Donny last season :bg:

I mean what relevance that has to anything in this thread I'd be glad to hear.

Agreed Womble. As stated earlier, the away end can hold 3200.

We play Charlton on a Saturday this season, and took around 600 last season on a Tuesday so I'd be hopeful of getting around 1000 at least, but it's us so we'll probably only improve last seasons by 50.

It won't help that all our London games are in one month though

They did - last season we gave the larger teams 200 seats and 700 terrace. Demand for seats from our fans is so high though that this season we've reduced the seating allocation for away fans to the very end block, which is smaller.

Not ideal but when your stadium only holds around 4,700 it's a squeeze...

Cheers for clearing that up I'm not moaning about it its a fair allocation considering the home demand. I'll get one anyway plenty that won't but our system is very very fair the more games you attend the more points you get so the regulars always get tickets.
