I was actually quite disappointed with this.

We're far from a well supported club, but this was our first away game for fans in 18 months, our first in League One in 12 years and, despite not being well supported, we usually turn up for the big occasions.
I expected you would bring atleast 500. It reminded me of a run of the mill away following in the middle of the season. Not first game back after 18 months on the back of a promotion.

That's what I was getting at - I was very surprised.

I know the M6 issue put a couple off, but not enough to make that much difference, and I still managed to do it in 2 hours even with that issue.

Tickets went on sale yesterday to the real dons 1400 allocated
Wimbledon need a 6k crowd to ascertain a safety certificate for the ground
All 1400 tickets sold yesterday maybe they should look at giving Bolton more
M6 and West coast issues not changed from last week

That Pompey turnout at nearly a quarter of the whole crowd is very impressive.

Surprised nobody has mentioned our attendance at Cambridge.

Or is there a mistaken perception that it's some sort of derby, or rivalry? As it most certainly isn't. It's just a normal, run of the mill, away game. It's not close either. It's about 100 miles, and a very awkward route. Most people took over 2.5 hours to get there. Also the 1,428 represents a sell out, so could have been more.

Or is there no comment because it's the kind of figure you all expect from a massive club like Oxford?

Did you all travel by boat? That is a good following though but its a bit nearer than 100miles more like 85.1m and hour 50mins.
It must be great travelling to away games from Oxford compared to somewhere like Plymouth. I don't like Plymouth as a team but they have got great away support.

429 according to our forum at our game away at Burton in the Cup, so don't know how accurate this is.

Why don’t you like us? There is only one side I don’t like to watch us against and that is because of the style of play their manager drills into them, and I like to get home at a reasonable time and not after what seems hours of added time.

Without being pedantic, I've just checked, and it's 94 miles (stadium to stadium) by the "fastest" route, which is the A421 through MK, that most people used, and is showing as 2hrs 10mins at the moment.

Depending whereabouts in Oxford someone lives, it could easily be 100 miles. That A421 route is a bloody horrible, slow road, and on Saturday was full of traffic and roadworks, making the journey time over two and a half hours for most.

By contrast, and without looking it up, I think Oxford to Portsmouth is about five or ten miles less, but on good roads, and I consider it to be a "close" game, which is probably why each of us always takes a good following to the each others grounds.

Anyway, I said I wasn't going to be pedantic, and have ended up being exactly that!

Was expecting less than 100 on Tuesday for the cup so not bad following tbf. I always measure good followings going on what crowds they get at home so Stanley is nowhere the worst.

Plymouth is a good outing and your away support is well respected. Midland teams, like Oxford, have got it easy for away travel compared to Plymouth. Don't mean to say I like you though lol

We’ve sold out Burton and Cheltenham. No real surprise. Our ticket site is a shambles so god knows who will actually receive a ticket

8241 at Lincoln, a very poor 103 Fleetwood. I wasnt expecting many, but maybe double what they bought.

No figure given for Rotherham at Wigan, but they had sold 1010 as of Friday morning with no POTD available.
