Guess that’s what happens when you’re still paying players £50k a week in League One.

A grim reminder of how utterly crippled we have been the last 5 years. Thankfully that debt has been written off thanks to Ellis Short to be fair to him (although the debt was amassed under him).

Some of the things the new ownership has shone a light on at how bad we were managed back then is truly horrifying. £1,000 a month on plant pots and £30,000 for a branding company to tell the ownership that Sunderland was "an old fashioned football club" for example.
