It’ll be a tough league next year.

I can’t really see any of the relegates sides doing much in honesty, mid table for them.

It’ll be tough at the top for sure, very competitive league id imagine next season.

Could Morecambe be the second EFL club to go part-time after Carlisle?

What is a break even budget for a club of Morecambe's size?

The appalling thing here is that working to a break even budget is seen by fans to be a negative thing... Surely that's the only way a football club should be run?

I am not saying its a negative thing, I just assume that considering they dont get big crowds that figure is going to be extremely low. I dont want my club to keep posting losses, but its not up to me to dictate how much we spend.

Well it is to a degree up to you. You and most others buy into the whole concept of private ownership and bankrolling clubs beyond their reasonable means. Morecambe plight is just another example of why private ownership models are a farce and are incompatible with community centric clubs.

The Stōk Racecourse

Let's hope we can do it on a cold Tuesday night in Stōk

By dint of this season just gone bring the shittiest for a long time, it could hardly be any weaker.

Cant believe your board haven’t given Clough the heave-ho - how many chances can he get.

This will be his third full season, last season was completely ruined by injuries 10+ and the one before we lost in the play-off final. The board are in line with the majority of the fanbase, don’t really understand your comment.

Northampton were riddled by injuries, too. Loads of comments throughout the season from Stags fans lambasting Clough.

You still keeping faith with him?

Yeah and absolute credit to Northampton for keeping it together, but we were left with mostly all our older players like Perch and Quinn playing every Saturday and Tuesday and missed out by one goal difference……

Yeah I think it’s right to give him one more go, I like the continuity, we will almost certainly compete again. Last time we nearly went up was Flitcroft, sacked him and ended up needing Clough after Dempster to get us out of trouble.

Definitely been some comments regarding Clough, that’s because he makes mistakes as expected at this level but the vast majority of fans wanted him to stay.

We’d have at least not made the playoffs without the ruinous injuries we had, we had 8 or more players out pretty much the entire 2nd half of the season, it was almost laughable.

You’re right though, the side we’ve got (especially after signing swan) should be aiming for autos this coming season.

Odd, we had(just about) the lowest wage in the league the previous season and came a creditable mid table. Wagmi came in promised to raise the budget and we escaped by the skin of our teeth.
Telford, Gladwin and the loan players would have pushed our wages a lot higher but it's still not a lot of bang for their buck!
