First ever meeting between the two clubs.

Can't see us getting anything here apart from a drubbing to be honest. Last week despite what a few people thought, the players did put alot more effort into the game than they did against Maldon - They're currently just lacking in confidence and guidance, which usually equals in low quality performances.

FGR have a good young technical side, we struggle against these sorts of sides, they've usually pulled us around this season.

With Ross Embleton still in charge we will probably concede 3 or 4, if we're lucky we might score 3 or 4 ourselves like we have done this season and scrap a draw.

All of our board are now in the UK and after this they will have 2 weeks before we play our next proper game (The Leasing.com game doesn't count) and they've got to bring in an experienced manager. Don't care how they do it, but thats what this group needs in order to give itself a chance.

Yeah, I'm pretty hopeful for this one, your problems seem worse than ours by a long chalk. We were a bit below par against a decent Argyle last week but nothing too terrible, should be able to raise our game again. Just a shame that with our small squad a couple of the players we need to change things up if Plan A doesn't work are on the sick list still.

Should be a decent game, type of opposition usually do aright against and like Cooper said in his presser, when we go away teams tend to play a bit further up the pitch instead of on the edge of their own box, which gives more space to our pacy front line to run in behind. Can see there being goals in this one.

No Kitching (banned) so a chance for either Matt Mills or McGinley to come in, not bad cover tbf! Joe Mills is fit which is a big pus, but looks like Frear might not make it which limits our options up front. Hopefully unlike last week we stick an attacking option or two on the bench, hoping to see the likes of Mondal start pulling their weight, we need options if it aint working.
Reckon we need another striker in Jan. If Coops has totally given up on the likes of Junior, McCoulsky etc then might be worth having a look at some of the academy lads until then, they certainly seem capable of putting the ball in the net judging by their efforts in the FA youth cup the other night!

Agree with the above posts, we are weekended at the moment and replacements are probably either not match fit (Mills senior) or no longer fit our amended style of play.

I suspect Joe Mills will not be risked, we're not on the crest of a wave right now, on that basis Orient will be looking for blood. If we can turn it around then that would represent a very good effort. I think a rare draw today.

Our squad is too small, and we need to strengthen modestly in the window. A few in a few out. The good thing is we now know what we need, we started the season with quite a lot of changes, but didn't go for broke. I imagine we are in a position to do some good business, and know exactly what we want.

Ebou Adams is going to be a popular bloke today I reckon. Plus will probably make himself even more popular with the home crowd by rolling around on the floor for half the game. He's been immense recently so hopefully he'll keep his head today.

Orient look all right but lack a final ball, bit unlucky in the early frantic exchanges when they hit the post but now Ebou Adams is living rent-free in their heads.

Blimmey, how right you were Chris! Very persistent that lad. Glad he plays for us, bit of star on the quite!

Glad to see Joe started, might be worth pulling him off now.

Great game from Angol, who might have had a pen too earlier but went down a bit too heavily and gave the ref a choice to wave it away

I missed any drama around when he was with you, did he take a shit on the boardroom table or something? Likes a dive but only a bit more than most is all I can see. Been outstanding for us most of the season once he got up to speed.

And we haven't! Could be in the shit here, all orient and we can't win a second ball.

We need to sort that panic in defence out. Crewe on Tuesday night! The last time we played them they came back from 3-1 and beat us. Our defence fell apart that day.

Hopefully Kitchen will come straight back in refreshed, and settle things down!

Great to get back to winning ways. Plenty of teams queuing-up behind us though. It will be a very tough game on Tuesday, but the win today will help big time.

Kitching is one of those players you notice most when he's not there, Definitely not as convincing as a two goal win today, Orient could well have turned that round or been in a better position at the half with a bit more luck. Still enjoying how this group of non-stars are all getting on though. Much prefer this to us chucking cash at big names in the conference.

Yeah, there’s history; we were desperate to sign him permanently at the start of last season, but he fucked off to Ebbsfleet for an extra couple of hundred quid a week and said it was because he wanted to join a club that would get promoted.

He got a reasonably muted reception before the game, but things changed when he dived the first six times an O’s player touched him. Literally six dives out of six. Prick. Clear dive from him before your third that the ref didn’t actually fall for for once, but he didn’t give us a free kick. Baffling.

Worst thing is, you didn’t need the histrionics. Good side, but wankers. A true Mark Cooper team.

Ah fair enough, though I dispute all six were dives of course, gets his body in the way and gets the push. Pleased he wasn't punished when he went up against your keeper too as that was an honest header you'd want a forward to take a go at. See your keeper shook on it too, good lad. We do our fair bit of shithousery but less or no more than most in my probably one-eyed opinion.
I've warmed to Cooper after he seemed to be specialising in falling out with senior players at the end of our conference days, though read on our forum he's been reported for making some remark that got your caretaker sent off.

I don’t know the specifics, but I do know that Cooper said something about Justin Edinburgh. Make of that what you will, but it’s not much of a stretch to suggest it was something disgusting and befitting of the little worm that he is. Ross Embleton is one of the nicest guys you could could ever meet, and to see him lose his temper in the way he did was probably pretty telling.

As for Adams, the challenge on Brill was fine; everyone was up in arms over it but the ref got that right. He did get Gorman booked by feigning injury though, so sticking with my professional diagnosis of “c*nt”.

The game went as I thought it would to be honest, we crumbled and lost our heads quite quickly after we fell behind, even though we was actually well in the game.

Dean Brill from our perspective has to do better with the first and he royally screwed Craig Clay in the build up to the second. After that it could've been more than 3 at half time. Our team bit at the gamesmenship and simply just lost their heads and FGR demonstrated why they're a good side.

To be fair to the ref, he ignored 4 of Ebou Adams dives altogether and I thought he held his own to be honest in the game.

Second half we showed alot of fight and had FGR on the ropes for that final 12mins, fine margins in the end from us getting probably a deserved point for our valiant second half display and unlikely draw to a 4-2 defeat, after Josh Coulson hit the bar in a scramble in the box and 60 seconds later we concede the 4th.

But the bigger picture is, its not the first time one of the better sides has given us a lesson this season. We need a proper manager to set us up and to keep our discipline better as well as shape without the ball, we are terrible without the ball despite causing teams problems when we have it ourselves - This was again evident today.

We either hire a proper manager in 2 weeks or we're fucked for the rest of the season.

If Mark Cooper did bring Justin Edinburgh up on the touchline in whatever guise, then I've lost all respect for him as a man.

Disgusting comment and crosses the line - There's gamesmenship windups and then there's being nasty.

More than twelve minutes, thought you were first to everything for majority of the half.
On the Cooper comment, what was said on our forum was he called your man an "impostor". No idea what source for that is.

“You’re an imposter for Justin Edinburgh”, it’s been confirmed. I will be knocking Cooper’s teeth out if I ever have the misfortune to bump into him.

If that's true that's completely classless, why the fuck would you go there?

Don’t doubt that it’s true; our Chairman has already confirmed it and made a complaint. No wonder that little weasel was hiding behind his assistants whilst Embleton tried to get at him. Ugly smirk on his face as well.

In that case he needs to eat some serious humble pie. No excuse.
