Interesting to see if we become complacent after 2 wins from 3 last week.

Macclesfields team has always shown alot of fight despite their issues, so this is going to be a harder test for us than alot of our fans may think.

I can only see a home win.

Sure Macclesfield are probably better than their league position suggests, and they don't seem to lose by many very often, but having to release three senior players this week is yet another blow in an already tumultuous season.

Conversely, we seem to be on the up. Two wins from the last three, and despite losing we put in a very encouraging performance away to Crewe and should have got all 3 points if not for a stupid keeping error. Our new signings look strong, we have 4 fit strikers, and our full back frailties seem to be improving. I agree with you that our biggest potential weakness right now could be complacency, which is fantastic, as for most of the season our biggest weakness has been playing football.

Would be nice to get some revenge for the 3 - 0 drubbing at their place.

Orient 2 - 0 Macclesfield
Wilkinson (about time), Ruel.

Shit 1-1 draw. Both goals from the only shots on target in the game.

That'll do.

In terms of the 3 players being released, none of them had played for a number of weeks anyway so whilst it hurts us in numbers, there's no direct affect on the 1st XI. Rumours of another new signing today (fuck knows how), but I wouldnt expect us to come and be expansive. I think the tolls of the season so far are starting to be felt by the players and whilst when everyone is on form and confidence is high then we're probably a lower mid table side, right now it's all about scrapping to stay up.

Pretty tedious stuff for the most part. We’re having most of the play without creating much; Macc yet to even have an attempt. Macc’s high press was reasonably good to start with, but the legs seem to have started to go out of them a little bit. Leaning towards us taking the game late on.

Sounds like a boxing match.

It’s been very ugly. Better side winning, though. You’ve defended well and kept a good shape, but I’ve seen more creative Sunday league sides going forward.

Well that was annoying, but ultimately our players paid the price IMO for thinking that was won after we'd took the lead - At 1-0 we stopped pressing the ball in wide areas.

We edged the game overall, I can see why Macc have drawn so many - very hard to break down with everyone always behind the ball, we managed to take advantage of a rare lapse in concentration for Brophy to score, but they offered next to nothing going forward until they fell behind.

Game wasn't great, looked to be heading for 0-0. Would expect both side to play each other next season.
