We were just not good enough, simple as that. Some desperate defending at times with Sunday Pub Football antics once or twice in our six yard box.

Ref didn't help with the constant giving of 'conned' free kicks against us, with very little in return, he did book one of theirs for diving in the penalty area though, so he wasn't all bad, and he wasn't the reason we lost.

Yeah, we all got a bit excited by that, a goal from open play is a rarity for us since November 2017. Pity Wycombe were too strong for us and we couldn't 'hang on'.

In all seriousness, when you played at our place in the not too distant past I thought you looked really good, in the first half at least. You had switched to a three/five at the back, kept the ball on the floor and were passing rings around us. Jamille Matt was causing us no end of problems until he went off injured, Summerfield was full of running, Vernam looked dangerous and scored a good goal.

Luckily you're not going insane, Scott is as crap as ever. Charles Vernam however is a decent talent and would've gotten us the goals we need if he hadn't gotten injured.

Whilst the general argument has been that the team is very short on quality, I think we have enough of it, but we’re just so short on confidence, at both ends of the field. The injuries have not helped at all.
