What are your thoughts on this? Just finished watching season 1 on Netflix.. season 2 started filming a few days ago.

If you haven't watched nor heard of it, I heartily recommend it.

Brendan Dassey's conviction was overturned 4 days ago and has been ordered to be released within 90 days unless the state attempts to retry him. Steven Avery also has a new attorney who is convinced of his innocence.

It was such a powerful and conflicting documentary. I really struggle to understand how the Jury found Steven Avery guilty, although I do respect the police framing angle appears to be a reach - despite events seeming to backup the possibility.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT IT???

There was a whole host of posts about it in one thread (perhaps the what are you watching thread). As I said at the time, it looks as though he was wrongly convicted based on the documentary however you're only seeing one side. It's framed to make him look innocent. Apparently there was other evidence that wasn't mentioned in the documentary.

That being said, I think there was enough doubt to find him not-guilty.
