At home we pushed them to the 98th minute and a fortuitous winner.
Away, and with the form we're in right now, I suspect this will be a nightmare.

I think each of our last 3 games have seen 5-6 changes. Obviously last night was League Cup, but even in the league we're trying to land upon something that works. God knows what we'll pick for this, but I suspect it won't make a huge difference. The important games are coming up after Christmas.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Sterling shouldn’t be allowed to play against about Bournemouth any more. At this point it’s just bullying.

Bottom 3 for Howe and co.
Seem to get some real batterings, Wham next should be good to bounce back.

Another game, another player limping off injured, Stanislas. Just as news rolls in that Defoe has a fractured ankle. Just what we need. We look absolutely knackered and drained at the moment. Games keep coming thick and fast, this was always a nothing game, but the next 3 in a week are all important.

We've not actually done so bad on the batterings front this season, only this and Liverpool the other week have been more than 1 goal, in what are our usual 3, 4 or 5 goal fixtures. That they've both popped up now, whereas earlier in the season we were pushing this lot to the wire, tells you we're in a bad, struggling place right now.

We've had periods like this, and something unexpected comes out and lifts us. Time will tell if we'll manage it again.
