We were shit in the first half, however completely dominated the second half. City looked toothless - even when Sterling & Aguero came on. Pogba and Zlatan grew into the game. Rojo looks much better as CB than LB. Carrick & Mata need to be starting the next few games. Time to get Mkhitaryan into the side and kick on.

Aleix Garcia looks a superb talent for City.

I don't think so. I always thought Pellegrini was pretty turd tbh but City fans didn't seem to get on his back given how poor they were for spells under him where they should have been far better.
His send off was a farce but that seemed to be more about nobody actually knowing it was going to happen like that.

With Pep even despite results you can see he's instilling a brand of football that will be succesful in time. I think opposition fans would like to think it's all going badly but if you watch them play then you can see it will reap rewards.
And they're still top of the table and are now out of the least prestigious competition they were competing in. No big deal.

Meh. On the face of it wasn't a particularly bad performance given the 'second string' nature of the side. I read somewhere that City's starting XI cost less than Paul Pogba. Not totted it up myself, so not sure, but suspect it's probably a bit of an exaggeration. I can see why it was all-change with two games which are on face value more important coming up, but you never like to lose a derby. (I thought I'd posted this this morning)

Not sure quite why things aren't working. Against Everton it was just madness that they didn't win. A career best performance by their 'keeper. Barca with 10 men is always going to be a stretch and they'd been a threat until then. Southampton was less impressive, and the confidence looks like it's taken a hit now. Not thought a trip to West Brom in October would be this important since the days of Alan Ball!

But still, this crisis has seen City top of the PL, second in the CL and out of the League Cup. If you'd offered me that after the Swansea win, I'd probably have taken it.
