Middlesbrough and Brentford meet at the Riverside stadium in the first league meeting between these clubs since 2002 when The Boro beat The Bees 4-1 at Griffin Park.

Damia Abella will be missing for Aitor Karanka's side after picking up a knee injury in their 1-0 win over Cardiff on Tuesday. Boro will also be missing Daniel Ayala and goalkeeper Tomas Mejias. Rhys Williams and Mustapha Carayol will still be missing for Middlesbrough as they are long term absentees.

Brentford will be looking to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat to Norwich on Tuesday. Alan McCormack recently signed a new 2 year deal with The Bees and will be likely to return to his right-back position with Moses Odubajo returning to midfield. Tony Craig may return to the first team squad after poor defensive performances from both Harlee Dean and James Tarkowski: Dean is most likely to be dropped

Middlesbrough may go into this as slight favourites but 11th placed Brentford will not go down without a fight and will be looking to bounce back from their recent defeat to Norwich.
