First fixture I looked out for this season. Lot of love for Morecambe and would absolutely love to see them promoted. One of my first ever TFF meets with with a Morecambe fan at their game v Dagenham, back in the days of Michael Twiss, Danny Carlton, Wayne Curtis and big Jim Bentley at the back. Always had a soft spot for them since.

See they've nabbed James Jennings, he's only been at Cheltenham a minute!

I will be in Bratislava/Trvana for Slovakia vs England instead. I thoroughly expect us to lose 4-0, that is all I have to say on the matter.

I'm looking forward to somehow winning this 1-0 with a dodgy penalty (missed, but tapped home from the rebound) and all of the Becchetti sycophants claiming it proves we did the right thing with Coxy. Or we'll lose 6-0.

I hope it's the latter.

Can't help feeling we owe Orient one after last seasons 0-1 result. The winning goal that day was one of the strangest i have seen live. As our centre-half cleared it i believe it was Jack Payne who stuck a foot out and it cannoned in totally wrong footing Barry Roche.

Looking forward to welcoming the Orient fans who last year made lots of noise albeit there were just under 400 of them.

We are currently playing quite well and the mid-week throw away trophy aside look likely to score plenty of goals. The problem we have is can our young defence cope with our opponents. Jimbo has strengthened by bringing in Jennings at LB. Not sure what has happened at Cheltenham but searching SM he seems well regarded so hopefully he will bring us some much needed experience.

I've gone for a win in Oakeys redicta as well as played my joker...... Not feeling as confident as the game approaches although i'm happier Cox won't be playing. :10:

We are all trying to gather our thoughts after yesterday's news of our Brazilian takeover. I can't see it having any immediate effect other than hopefully bringing a few more bodies through the turnstiles to have a look at what the fuss is all about.

Top of the League and having a laugh :bdick:.......well for the next 26 hours we are:ds::ds::ds:

Jennings was held in high regard at FGR last season, although the only time I saw him live last year Boreham Wood's (now Crawley) Billy Clifford absolutely had him on toast. Should be a good signing, wonder though why Cheltenham have binned him already!

I think if Morecambe sit deeper and look to contain whatever the fuck Orient's attack is and look to counter down the right hand side you'll get a result. Not a massive fan of Hunt and I'd back him to struggle against a guile attacker (paging Barkhuizen) whilst Erichot has all the athletic attributes but no mental awareness, he was carrying a knock so Pollock may be his replacement, he's the polar opposite, all brain no brawn. Hyde dominated him midweek and I'd pay to see Ellison do the same...

If you give Massey and Cornick space I'd back then to do damage, stop them and I think Morecambe will take the points.

What's your expected line up?

From an Orient point of view:

Simpson
Semedo - Massey - Cornick
Atangana - Kelly
Kennedy - Parkes - Erichot - Hunt
Cisak
Although from what I've seen of Bowery I think he's the first deeper supporting forward we've had since Mooney, so if Orient did revert to 4-4-2 with Simpson and Bowery I think there is the supportive structure to make it work.

Of course, that's presuming Simpson is now available to play...

Id be more concerned if you played the 442 with Bowery and Simpson up top and Cornick out wide knocking the balls in.

Jim hasn't been doing much tinkering recently and whilst we gave the current so-called squad players a run on Tuesday i think we'll line up something like this:

Roche

Wakefield Edwards Whitmore McGowan/Jennings

Fleming Rose

Barkhuizen Dunn Ellison

Stockton
As you sa, pace in the right areas and in Dunn and Rose we have two lads who can find the pass to get Barkhuizen and Stockton in.

Looking forward to it now.

No Simpson. Was convinced he was going to start. Might even start to give thought that he may actually be injured.

No post-match comments?

Orient might not get relegated now, who'd have thought it?
