Even though he plays for Vale, always admired Popey. Bloke is a model professional and has turned his life around after his criminal conviction he acquired with us 10 years ago where he was very lucky to be spared a prison sentence.

I don't blame him for snapping at his own fans either, whatever their persuasion in the city of Stoke on Trent, the city has a dangerously high concentration of idiots who aren't happy with their football club unless they're romping to a Top 6 finish each season. And even then they'll still moan about the manager if he drops a game to a relegation threatened side.

Guy used to be a window fitter before we gave him his break so he knows all about the graft believe me. It looks it to the outsider that Pope's the problem, but without him they'd be swimming in non league now. His goals are genuinely that valuable for the club and they suffer when he's out injured. It'll be some of his big time useless team mates that need a kick up the arse!
