We won't even care, as you say we're not really rivals. Still, enjoy your moment in the sun, promotions are hard won and for most clubs quite rare.
Having four stands will definitely make it feel better as the other three stands are decent enough.
We spent years with just executive boxes behind the goal and an expanse of ash and a brick wall and it was rubbish.

Looking back, that end behind the goal was just weird and a little embarrassing. Didn't really take it in at the time cos I was a mere youngster and distracted with back to back promotions at Wembley and a season in the top flight. True story.

It just looked wrong thankfully we added the seating over 30 years ago and completed the impressive oversized all seater stadium in 1994.

Good to hear Mansfield are going to complete their ground soon.

As in purchasing the properties behind? or?

They’ll be pissed at county when we’re better than them and have 4 stands

I’ll be surprised if they are able to purchase any of the housing, and I imagine it’ll be the same length the current stand is due to space restrictions but maybe with some hospitality above the seating/safe standing.

Just guessing like. Sure we will hear more shortly.

Looks like we’ll be joining the 4th stand club soon. Confirmed by Radford out our end of season awards dinner tonight, apparently be open for the 2056/25 season. Hallelujah

If it’s going to take that long I’m hoping we are aspiring for the Mansfield Bernabeu

By what some have said, including richard i think the stand will be of a decent size by the sounds of the plans.

Wait and see though, we need to consolidate next season and go from there.

Big issue is how narrow it is between the bish and the north stand, which I imagine makes it almost impossible to do a full pitch length stand.

I believe that some of the houses behind the stand has been purchased, but like you say it’ll be interesting what they come up with.

I heard they were trying to do that so hopefully that’s correct!

History suggests we are usually one league apart, but usually the other way around. First time in League one in 25 odd years, we’ve probably had 10-12 years at that level in that time.

Tell you one thing that is always 1 apart, the number of stands we have in our grounds.

I’m glad you’ve fucked off having the seen the size of the budgets of the top 3. We are nowhere near that level so I’m happy as it gives us a better chance next season. Just need MK to win the play offs for the clean sweep

I’ll take the offer of a friendly wager as a no. Maybe the Brexit Benidorm stag will have a fancy, I’ll even do the current conversion for him into Euros

Obviously seen fuck all if you’re comparing us with Stockport and Wrexham!

But I do see your point, with those two gone, and to a lesser extent Mansfield then hopefully MK for you it will be less financially competitive in L2 next season!

You and MK were both in the Top 5, and presuming the figures have some resemblance of truth were way above what ours is/will be so i'm seeing it more from that standpoint. I don't think any of the clubs coming down will be particularly strong, Vale usually bounce-back, Carlisle under new ownership will do ok but again nobody stands out so would like to think we could have a good crack at the play offs. Wary I will be very much in the minority wanting MK to go up though

Stockport County.
Any L2 club secured for next year is bang on wanting MK Dons to win the Play Offs. They will be the best team in them by a decent distance (Doesn't mean they will be sure to win them though, play-off football is cup football as we all know) and if they fail will be my title picks for next season.

As someone else said, the last time we lost in the L2 play-offs, we won the league the next season with one of the best away records ever recorded (irony being ours this season is shite) so I would bloody hope we either go up this or next season.

Would be nice to break our play-off curse though.

Well done on your promotions you three. Particularly pleased for Stockport as their fans I met in London last May were all really sound.

It’s a step up but I reckon you’ll all do ok as you’ll have decent budget. Not like us last summer trying to go into League 1 with a conference north budget.
