Placebo - Without You I'm Nothing
Pretentious, self absorbed, in your face, look at me I'm special vanity project. Most of us can only dream of being in a position to produce a piece of art like this that is going to be in the popular public domain pretty much immediately. It's good though, we're all selfish in a way, whether we want to admit to it or not.

I love a bit of Placebo but Silent Alarm is a great album.

My fav Placebo album, and Silent Alarm is very good too. Still, PJ Harvey is an easy choice for me. Terrific album which needs multiple spins before fully appreciating it. Definitely PJH's darkest album.

I used to dig Placebo a lot, until I realised the rather large number of artists they've ripped off. Still, I enjoy their first 5 albums, esp this one and Black Market, but I don't hold them in such high regard as I used to do. They completely lost it when they changed their drummer and went for a more mainstream sound.
